Momento Cafe Hospital reviews
50Love the private, quiet atmosphere present in Momento cafe. Quality baristas produce top class service. The food here is excellent. Call in next time you visit to the hospital. Located beside the Pembroke Street car park behind the bus stop. The café is wheelchair friendly. I would recommend the selection of different slices. Absolutely divine.
The cafe that wanted too but was held back.
This cafe used to be a wonderful place for both hospital staff and visitors. Today it is only a shadow of what it once was but with small improvements it could be a really great place; a refuge to rest and recoup. I believe it is still frequented by staff and visitors alike and it is likely loved; however, wrong orders, unenthusiastic staff, an open service area, $1 charge for plant milk alternatives sadly dampen what could be a nice experience. There's a beautiful spot in the sun on the couch in the corner.
I just had a hot lemon, honey and ginger tea.
Unfortunately the cabinet food was too expensive for my budget. I know cost of living has arisen but my Superannuation hasn't.
Positives: the shake I had was delightful! Happily pay the price again for another.
Negatives: For the price range, the food was meh. Had a smashed avo, and the avo was overpowered by whatever spice mix they were using. The eggs were nicely poached tho. The loaded wedgies I ordered tasted like they had been microwaved at some point in the process, so a huge let down. The service was overall very polite and professional, but the timing of the dishes was abysmal (hence the 2 stars) I got my shake 15mins before I got my meal, which was 10mins after my companion was served theirs. Needless to say, the shake was drunk before my meal got to me. I do hope that the staff are getting paid a decent wage because that would be the only justification I'm willing to accept
Coffee did not come with the wrap i ordered. Had to go ask for it. Then had to ask for it. Not impressed with the latte bitter.
Had salmon eggs benny. Very disappointed for the price. The salmon was so thin at first I thought they had given me bacon. And it had been fried in the pan. Would have been happier if it had been a small fillet or even the thin stuff uncooked. Eggs were firmer than i like. And they were $28.
I was a little bit worried after seeing the mediocre rating but have now had breakfast there twice and am happy to say that the quality of the food is excellent and far surpasses anything I have seen available at any other hospital.
I'd come here to purchase food even if I wasn't at the hospital.
I enjoyed my omlete it was delicious and yummy an would recommend this cafe to everyone customer service was perfect well mannered presentation on the food side was excellent
Vegetarian nachos = cold mixed beans tipped over corn chips. No sauce. No heat. Captive customers by hospital. Better off starving.
Very busy. Good food and coffee.
Perfect place to go to get a break from the hospital. You only have to cross the road.
Good food, coffee and service. Convenient if you are at waikato hospital visiting. Prices are on the high side, but given location and quality it is worthwhile visiting.
This place is absolutely beautiful from the delicious food to the friendly staff. 100% recommend if you want that aesthetic picture for the gram!
Nice place but I have to take 1 Star off for not being wheelchair accessible. There's a ditch where the door is that makes it hard to push a wheelchair through without getting stuck. Considering this is across the road from the hospital it seems odd
Good option for those working at the hospital or visiting there. Nice ambience, nice selection of menu, right priced.
Only just ok coffee-scone was not enabled and sour faced women serving behind counter-only go if desperate for a drink
Clearly asked for poached eggs, got scrambled.got ignored when I went to talk to someone. Customer service needs to be better.
Totally enjoyed a menu meal.a very tasty, and served hot prawn omelet. Drinks came promptly, meal took an age but the sincere apology was welcomed.)
Ordered Ice coffee to take away.been waiting 20 minutes.ppl after behind me ordered, walk out with their food and ice drinks.im still waiting finely a women come to me asking, what did you order!
Sighhhhh.gr
Ezzz you need to step up your customer service.
Wanted butter with my scone, asked for more and was told it would cost 50 cents, a bit stingy compared with other cafes
Expensive food $10 for a small bowl chips over priced. Toilet and every where needs a good scrub.not going back there again.
