Great family atmosphere, Beautiful scenery to look out to. Not busy for the time we went but we started at the bar for pre-refreshments before being taken to our table. A hidden gem.

This is such a gem. I would say the ambiance, food quality and service ranks among the best we have experienced. You should absolutely stop by.

The wife and I had a lovely dining experience. The food was excellent. Duck Bao Buns to share, market fish with greens and polenta, Lamb with risotto and greens. Very good sized portions and delicious. Highly recommend

Eaten there before and had an excellent meal but things have gone backwards. All of our preferred choices on the menu were unavailable. I ordered Terakhi and was served salmon! Food was very average but prices are sky high. Happy to pay for quality, but this was not it. We were refunded most our money but the whole experience left us with a unpleasant feeling.

Place that you can describe as fine dining. Really awesome ambience and my wife enjoyed everything very much. What was missing in my opinion is the service level, we asked the waiter what red wine she can recommend, and she said that she doesn't drink. We would expect that it would be possible to ask manager, but that option wasn't provided. I asked for a cup of tea, and was provided with a packet of tea in the cup. Main that I ordered wasn't available, which I would expect to know at the time of order, and not some time later.
Starters were quite small - prawns one has only 4 prawns in it.
What was great is the quality of mains. Mains were awesome and almost redeemed place in my eyes. Steak was done exactly like I wanted, and had awesome side stuff, lamb was melting. So overall good experience, but I think they should help their waiting stuff to improve

Visited annually over the last 5 years but the place has changed. Used to be a 4+ but now struggling for a 3. Both service and food need work (both average).

Michellen star quality and style. Professional chef who has trained the staff to be attentive while still friendly. Beef/chicken ragu - hand made pasta cooked perfectly with a rich sauce (perhaps a touch to much salt). Vietnamese rolls, again hand made and lightly fried to be crispy. Frankly a much better experience than similarly priced restaurants in Auckland.

Beautiful views! If you enjoy birdlife wake up early to hear the bird song at dawn. Lovely views watch the sun rise over the lake, full of tui birds and Kereru birds. Great apartment for a family, we met here half way with friends so we shared the apartment, you have new world in turangi so stock on supplies there or you can use the restaurant on site if you want to be fancy. Beautiful walks nearby although you can walk easier to drive to them park up and then walk. It’s a place you can wake up and enjoy sipping coffee and relaxing. Tennis courts too if you fancy a game of tennis. A selection of these apartments are on time share. I don’t think anyone can go wrong with a view here. Brilliant place although on the pricey side not bad if you split costs with family or friends. Bring a few board games too, they do have a tv. During the day you could visit Kuratau too they have a a vineyard there open from midday until 7 sell coffee and obviously pride themselves on their wine and they stone oven pizzas! A plenty few options around and turangi is 20 min drive away with a fun crazy golf course which was fun. And of course maybe a 45-60 min drive to the ski field

Would have been 5 stars if the prawn entree was better. Speaking to the chef afterwards the locals love it so what do you do. All on all a great night out with good staff and owner
