Oreti Village

What a fabulous place - our apartment was spacious and comfortable and the view of the lake from the balcony is spectacular.

Great outlook over the lake. Double bed was great. But single beds need a over haul Sagging and complaints about rolling out of them Also great lounge but the centre of the lounge has lost all there life

The feeling of a secluded retreat, Tui chirping nearby, rooms beautifully decorated, beds comfortable, and the restaurant was delicious. The view? Outstanding so very beautiful! Service was excellent, we highly recommend.

Would choose 3 star, due to aging of decor, however location is everything. Position, views and local area including being on Lake Taupo is excellent. Retreat really.

We got married at Oreti earlier this month and I can not recommend Fleur and her team more highly. The view and food were amazing and no problem was too big for them to sort out - thank you so much for having us again! We will be up for many dinners and to reminisce.

We stayed two nights here recently while we did the tongariro crossing and had the most relaxing stay. The view from the room was absolutely stunning! The staff were also super helpful and made our stay a breeze. We will be back for sure!

It was a disappointing meal on a Sunday. I took guests telling them how good it was last time I went but I left feeling unhappy with our experience. The staff that we had contact with were excellent although the young lad needs more training.

The letdown was the meal. I had steak with mushroom sauce. A decent size meal but where were the mushrooms? Still in the kitchen, I think. My guest ordered the fish of the day. Sorry but there was none left. My meal said it came with seasonal veggies. Oops sorry, no veggies they had run out. The biggest disappointment was the desert. A lemon tart with meringue and coconut sorbet. Oops, no coconut left so it was mango. Oops, No meringue we have run out. The tart was in a wine glass and overly sweet. It was difficult to get out of the glass with the large spoon provided. I was not sure was the brown powder Was at the bottom of the glass but I had given up at this stage. $18 for that desert? Really! No, it was not a great experience. I will think twice about going back. Maybe it was just because it was Sunday.

The menu was limited. The website gave a menu online and said that that was just part of the offering. Correction. The actual menu had less on it. Two of us came for what was not on the actual menu.

My sister and I were gifted the Escape to Paradise voucher for Christmas and it didn't disappoint. I was able to book our stay, as well as dinner through email and despite a miscommunication discovery upon arrival about our dinner reservation it all worked out for the better in the end. The rooms were amazing and the food and restaurant service was delightful. It really was paradise.

The place is certainly great if you want to have a good view of the lake. Though I can say that it can be quite far, but the place is worth the stay. The rooms are great, and they give friendly services. All in all, I'd recommend this place and definitely would go back.

We have just had our family wedding at Oreti Village - it was amazing. Fleur is awesome to deal with and made everything so easy, she takes care of everything and has a great selection of people to offer all the different things you need on the day. It is a great venue with everything onsite and lots of room, there are lots of extras included that make it really good value. The food was great! Our family have holidayed in Kuratau for decades and we all enjoyed staying onsite and having a different experience at the lake! Thank you for an unforgettable day!

Fantastic spot with amazing views of Lake Taupo. The whole facility will need an update in the near future. The pool was closed for the season. There is a great bush walk just up the road which is about an hour round trip. Restaurant was great and the staff very friendly.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room is very tidy, clean and spacious with a great view of the lake.

Absolutely stunning. Peace, bird life, views, amazing restaurant and walking close to a beautiful lake beach.

Beautiful view, spacious room with nice deck. Food at the restaurant was excellent. Only stayed overnight so didn't use any other facilities.

It's surely a very beautiful place to visit for the views. However, the quality of the accommodation is average. There are no fans in the accommodation and in case you need to stay there in summers, it can get really stuffy. Also, the AC is just in the living room. Plus, the maintenance of the property is alright. The tennis court is in a shabby condition and surely the super structure just surviving the ravages of time. There is supermarket close by. It is 20 minutes away from the closest town where there is a New World. So if you do not have a car hired, it can be a tricky place to stay. Otherwise, if you're there only for the views, it's definitely a beautiful place to be at.

BEAUTIFUL the heater was on in the room. Staff wonderful and omg the view gotta love our bloody amazing country
