Pokeno Blueberries

A must go to place for picking the best blueberries in town? They have 14 different varieties to choose from and all rows are labeled with the type.
There's an entry fee for adults of $5 but if you pick a kilo then you're charged for the kilo and the fee is waived. Kids are free.
The berries were delicious and plenty to go about. We spent a good 2.5 hours there and didn't get tired at all. The bushes are well spread out and there are lots of open spaces.
The staff are friendly too and give a briefing before you enter. Watch out for rabbit holes.
They are usually open from December through till March end.
If you're looking to pick some great blueberries which is not too far of a drive from Auckland then look no further. Highly recommend:)

Had fun here. Tasty blueberries but it was late in the day when we went so slim pickings. Definitely recommend going early. The lady at the stall was really nice:)

Awesome trip out for everyone. Cheaper and taste better than supermarket berries!

Best PYO ever visited. Great selection of berries and super helpful owners mean we keep coming back. Almost reluctant to tell others about the place as it's so good!
