Rassasy reviews
16Birthday dinner. Disappointing.lacked items on the menu.and waitress didn't care.billboard outside said oysters (not available) mussels (not avail). Duck (not avail). But a few other food choices were nice. Poor attitude by owner / waitress
We went for a walk around the region and decided to stop somewhere for dinner before heading back to Tauranga.
So the pleasant surprise of finding this restaurant, everything was incredibly delicious. Foods and drinks
We felt very welcome and our dog as well. We really enjoyed.
Highly recommend
Food & cocktails were delish. Couldnt fault anything. Loved the ceviche and lamb was beautifully cooked. The girls serving were polite and pleasant. Would recommend:)
Will definitely come here again!
We're on our honeymoon at Opoutere and we are able to enjoy 1 lovely evening here
What a great spot in the heart of Whangamata! My partner and I dined here tonight and we couldn’t fault the service, food & drinks! The mojitos were delicious, the 5 small share plates were on point and the staff were friendly and attentive. Special mention: the pork belly and empanadas. We will be back!
An absolutely fabulous meal. I am so glad. I read the reviews and experienced it on my own. Would highly recommend!
Amazing way to spend a summer evening with friends. Staff were outstanding as where the deserts. Totally recommend it
Always an amazing experience, food is the best in Whangamata, cocktails are too moreish and staff always super friendly and attentive with a great smile to greet you every time xxx
Great tappas selection. Recommend the sashimi! Ordered 4 plates (empanada, tuna sashimi, duck, and fries) between 3 adults which was just enough for lunch. Recommend more if you're hungry.
Long, very long, noisy, very noisy. And frankly the dishes. We didn't finish any of them! The last one, barely tasted, was refunded to us. But even this nice commercial gesture does not change the deserved rating.
This was a choice to go to for our 56th wedding anniversary with our daughter. Cocktails to start and then shared tapas and finally two desserts to share.
The food was excellent and beautifully presented. The bomb dessert was a notable finish and we'd recommend it! The service couldn't be faulted - our wait staff were friendly and attentive and certainly made us welcome.
The dining area is medium sized and gradually filled as the evening progressed. On our visit the atmosphere was quiet so we didn't have to resort to raising our voices for conversation. Just how we like it!
Thoroughly recommended - we will certainly go there again.
Looked good on reviews and from the outside. Food is significantly overpriced for its quality and presentation. I have dined at some of NZ’s finest restaurants and worst restaurants. When a complaint was made the owner fobbed us off and walked off with and stared at us from the bar with a RBF which was horrific and made us leave with half eaten meals. Nothing mentioned when we went to pay. Would never go back and not recommend I’m sorry. Rasassy team, you need to be good at what you do and concentrate on that I think. Refine it, spend time on it.
In Feb this year I was staying in Whangamata and was very excited to try Rassasy as I had read the restaurant uses free range local produce and I wanted to support this. I visited on two seperate occasions (one of them being my birthday) where I spent a lot of money on food. The older woman who served me was so rude and dismissive/condescending. It was upsetting to be treated this way and I still feel confused to this day as to why she was so rude to me- it was like she had me confused with someone she hated. On another note, on the previous visit, I asked if I could have takeaway food and the man said they don't do takeaway. I had called up an hour before and they said they do so I mentioned this where he said oh well we can make any food off the menu into takeaway food. Wouldn't recommend.
We just had tapas at Rassasy. Oysters, the duck, tuna sashimi, and baked cheese.
Superb. All of it.
Extensive drinks menu. Service is great, friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere. Thank you team Rassasy. We will be back.
Fab food and drink on a stormy night in Whanga. Rassasy is a quality restaurant with friendly, professional staff serving really good food and with an superb wine list with lots of by the glass options. Our 3rd time here. We will be back!
