Sails on the Lake

I've stayed a few places in taupo, and sails on the lake is always the best! Best service, always clean, always willing to go the extra mile! I love staying here, and won't waste my time anywhere else!

Stayed here for 3 nights. Perfectly priced for what you get.

Had everything, and more, that I needed.

Was very clean, and for the most part comfortable. Only downside was that the sofa bed in the living room was not comfortable. But this wasn't worth a lower rating!

No complaints, not the most economic option but room standard and view make up for the price.

Had a great stay here. Location is close enough to walk to town and offers stunning views of the Lake and beyond. Room was warm and comfortable.

Great view but Terrible smell in the room. Could smell it before we got the door open. Smelt of fish. Had to go out and by deodoriser and fragrance candle which burned every moment in the room. Was hard to mask the smell. After 2 days the smell didn't dissipate. Asked for a discount on checkout to cover the cost of the fragrance candle. Was refused. The man didn't even empathise or apologise for the experience. Have stayed there before and found him rude. He needs to find a job that doesn't have customers. We won't be back.

We stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very clean, comfortable and perfectly located to enjoy all that Taupo has to offer. We would definitely stay there again.

Had a lovely stop over here.the staff are great and very welcoming. Pay TV is always a plus and the bed was comfy.would highly recommend!

The room itself was nice, but there were a few things in the room that should be changed. The shower is outdated and the aircon placement was in a strange place which meant the room didn't cool properly. Overall the place was brilliant and the owners were nice.

Went there to get 2 rooms as they displayed a big board outside which says “vacany”.
Just to get turned down by the receptionist who unfortunately didn’t change the status on board in time.
Icing on the top was it still says vacancy after we left disappointed.

Cool view. Great places. But honestly, the best part was the owner. He was just a salt-of-the-earth, chill dude. Absolutely cool guy.

Clean, well kept with lovely rooms. The management was very accommodating for our extra requests. Definitely stay here again.

Check in was incredibly easy, the staff were super sweet and made you feel right at home!

The room included a small kitchenette which was fully equipped for basic cooking, a jacuzzi tub + shower and a massive bedroom/sitting area.

The bed was incredibly comfortable with very nice sheets and the location was right on the water!

Stunning sunsets were had during our stay and I can't recommend this place enough!

Most comfortable bed. Clean, well appointed and friendly. Lovely spot on the lake. I can highly recommend it.

Room was very clean, tidy, warm and modern. Had everything we needed. No servicing running at this stage due to orange light covid but gentle that met me at reception to give me our key was friendly. Very close to the city with great view of the lake. Would definitely stay again:)

This is a great place to stay. The room size is generous, the kitchenette is well appointed and the views are stunning.

Stopped by for overnight stay, staff were more than accommodating as we arrived early.wonderful stay, lovely and clean, would definitely recommend.

Very nice, spa tub, awesome view spacious parking, clean with comfortable bed. No faults for price range.
