Been twice and always got the snarkiest responses for no reason and they'd always watch me like a hawk like I was going to shoplift. Had I treated my customers like that in my stores, I would have been sacked on the spot. It's always the old lady that gives me the creeps but also seeing a pattern that mostly non white people are leaving bad reviews. Think she just needs to get laid or is going through menopause. Wouldn't even be surprised if this business was a front for something shady.

Nobody's saying it bit everyone's thinking it. You get what you give.

My partner and I are major crystal lovers. Christmas is quite close too, so we thought we would browse around to look for gifts. I was feeling hot in my hoodie and decided to remove it. I asked politely if I could leave it in front of the front desk and I received the pettiest response. It’s bad enough that the cashier lady didn’t even welcome us in or respond to us saying hello. Seconds after browsing, my partner appears behind me and says he’s getting bad vibes from the same cashier lady. Constantly watching him as if he were stealing. Lots of negativity and bad vibes in that store. Walked out with nothing. Will look elsewhere. 1 star for cool products. -4 stars for the rude customer service. Do not recommend.

Purchased this rare and expensive piece of ponamu, called Kokopo. Wanted to know more so took it to the lapidary shop In Rotorua. Turns out it’s a cheap as piece of jasper. Certainly not worth the $150.00 I paid. Went to inform them about it, lady just hung up. Absolutely disgusting service Don’t recommend

I love crystal shops and really any kinda shop that carries strange merchandise, but I didn't care for this place at all. First of all, they have some of the highest prices for crystals I've seen so far during my time in NZ. Secondly, the vibe is really bad. Dunno what's going on, but I didn't really feel welcomed. Might be worth checking out once, but not a great place to shop.

UPDATE: 3 to 4 stars
My second time going through was better. The employees seemed much more relaxed and welcoming. Might be because my partner is a repeated customer, but I still welcome it. Still the highest prices I've seen for crystals out of the 4-5 shops I've been to, but the selection is massive.

Cool store, easy to spend money in there. Staff super helpful. Got my ears pierced the lady who done it was lovely and very gentle.

Seriously cool shop, I was blown away by the amount of amazing treasures they have, the staff were lovely too.
I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Taupo.

0/5 stars, ladies are so disgustingly rude, got my nose re-pierced at stardust 1 month ago, it has been infected ever since, I have cleaned it everyday and still infected! The first time I got my nose pierced was at home by my mates absolutely no problems at all! No infection! So unprofessional

If there was a 0 star i would give it that.my friend was walking around the store looking to buy a bracelet and waiting for my parents to come sign papers so my other friend could get a piercing when doing this my friend picked up a bracelet and went to go look at one more thing then go and pay.then this rude worker came over not only said excuse me but has the audacity to rip the bracelet out of my friends hand.we then left the store and as we were leaving the lady who looked hippy and on legal substances says snarky comments.like mature up even though i’m younger then you i act my age unlike you rude workers.you literally own a crystal shop and act like this.go get a life instead of being in others personal bubbles and maybe start acting your age.give people space and make them feel comfortable in your shop because otherwise your business isn’t going to go very far!

If I could give this shop a 0 stars I would, The owner goth looking lady with dark lipstick and pencil drawn on eyebrows was so extremely rude, my friend was looking at a bracelet that she was going to buy so she took it as we went to look at other stuff around the store when she gets chased down by another goth worker saying you have to give that back until you buy it, we then wait for someone to get their belly pierced and when paying for that and my mother signing the goth looking pencil eyebrow lady says are you still buying it, she says no because of the horrible service goth then continues to say, good that I took it off you. I hate being accused of stealing something that we had no intention of stealing. Absolutely DISGUSTING customer service and a horrible shop to be in. NEVER recommend this store to anyone unless you want to be accused of stealing by some pencil eyebrow goth looking old hag.

Took my grand daughter for piercing at Stardust. The service, expertise and professionalism was second to none. Would certainly recommend their services. Very happy!

I wish it was possible to give this shop a 0 star rating. I was browsing through Taupo yesterday when I witnessed the most unprofessional and quite frankly disgusting situation unfold between a group of teenage girls and who I imagine was the manager/owner? (Lady with blonde and purple hair). The group came in and asked to speak to the piercer in regards to a piercing one of them had gotten from Stardust Creations the day before - she said that the piercing had become infected, bruised and swollen and wasn't even in the correct placement. The lady who I assume was the manager had a horrible tone from the start and insisted she would NOT be getting her money back before even taking a look at the piercing. After looking at the piercing she told them that they were causing a scene and she would call the police if they didn't leave the shop immediately - I watched the entire situation unfold and not once did the girls raise their voices, become aggressive or make any threats etc. Within seconds the manager was on the phone with the police, yelling the shop down saying they were trespassed over and over again. I can't believe the extent this lady was going to by calling the police over a $40 refund. When I spoke to the girls afterwards they explained to me the piercer did not draw the dots where the piercing would go and didn't show her what it would look like before doing it. Perhaps the most unprofessional, inappropriate and unsafe shop for anybody looking to get a piercing.

We were directed to Stardust to buy genuine NZ Greenstone items. Unfortunately there are retailers selling Jade and calling it NZ Greenstone.
The Stardust management is knowledgeable and assures their customers they are buying the real deal.
As most folks know - don't buy Greenstone for yourself, always buy it for others. There was a younger female staff member who did a great job helping us.

Mediocre. Despite having a range of unusual stuff and crystals in stores, everything seemed by pricey.

I have been in their old residence. But it's full to 6he brim. Ohhh love this store. I have a few treasures here. And if u want to browse the crystals they will open for you to feel which one is right for you. I could spend hours there.

Friendly knowledgeable staff, soooo much in there, I actually can't wait for a birthday so I can go back and buy a gift lol

I LOVE THIS SHOP! So much variety and beautiful art work to buy. I will definitely be back as there is so many things I want to buy from here.

Ausome store bought my partner some crystals witch she loved the staff were amazing little bit pricey but what isn't with jabcinda at the behive

No customer service skills, quick to jump down my throat when asking a question about an item. Extremely "expensive" and not a happy atmosphere. Will never go there again. Unpleasant vibes to say the least.

Ladies here are very knowledgeable and helpful highly recommend this store, large selection or crystals
