Great place to stop for lunch. We stopped here today and ordered the toasted sandwiches. They were so good! The service was quick and efficient, and the staff friendly.

Had the most stunning toasted pastrami sandwich here today. Just one of those unexpected brilliant food experiences. A great twist using rēwena bread. I was a bit worried about this at first as the rēwena bread I’d had in the past was stodgy, but was pleasantly surprised how it toasted up. 10/10.

Great eatery well worth your custom. The ribs weren't sticky like they usually are, but I preferred this. The chips were under rated. But the buns were yummo. 4.5 stars The staff are great. I would go back.

We ate here twice on the way between Auckland and New Plymouth. Absolutely lovely little gem of a place. We sat outside as we had our dog with us (theres seating front and back). As soon as we sat down a staff member appeared with chilled water and menus for us. The food was excellent (we had pork burger, bao buns and mushroom pasta), fresh and very tasty. Service was fast and very friendly. They also carry the Good George beers and ciders, including some on tap, which were lovely too. It was so nice we went straight back on our return journey.

Don't bypass Te Kuiti town centre. You can have a pit stop here for a quick meal during your road trip. Really satisfied with service, food and drink.

Food was slightly above average. Burger was good. Pork belly dry. Staff very blunt and lack hospitality skills.

We were really looking forward to grabbing some lunch here but unfortunately the head staff were so incredibly hostile and stressed because they had 26 guests to feed before us. They didn’t give us a wait time and made us feel so unwelcome.

Great service and delicious food - enjoyed their range of hot soups (had the leek and potato which was DEE-lish) and other goodies. Nice atmosphere.

My chicken burger was good and my wife said her GF toasted sandwich was very nice.
We saw people leave because they had waited so long to be served.
And food sat under the warmer lamps for 5 minutes while staff were stacking glasses in the bar.

On holiday and travelling from North to south NZ. Didn't enjoy the food at this stop. Felt like the pasta was oily and poorly cooked, fish didn't taste very good, and our two entrees were also poor. Good and cheap cocktails on the plus side, but unless you like spending a decent amount on unhealthy and mediocor bar food, your better off getting a bite elsewhere. Would rate the experience similar to a cheap take away joint. 2 out of 5 stars from me.

Perfect, will stop here again next time! Good size portions, good quality food and nice atmosphere! Thanks guys for making this effort in a small town, very unusual!

Great place we stopped for lunch! Friendly people and the food taste great. Must stop by if you are passing by. The interior design feels great too.

Came here for dinner passing on our way through home after a long road trip.
Place was packed & very busy but staff were very accomodating.
Although there was a wait on food it was definitely worth the wait. Everything we had was perfection.
Thank you for the experience!
We will be back next time we are passing through.
