Had a great breakfast at Taste! My husband and I ordered modified breakfasts and they were very willing to accommodate. Service was quick and attentive and everything was delicious! Had a beautiful dining experience with lake views, would definitely go back!

Amazing location and food was tasty, but we had the avocado smash for breakfast which was a really tiny portion for $18. Certainly wasn’t enough for breakfast to feel like you had a reasonable meal for your price. Was a busy weekend but took almost an hour to get our breakfast. A lot of the other breakfasts looked ok portion size but as we don’t eat eggs or bacon the avocado was our only option. Disappointed really.

An early dinner so the service was ok but it wasn't busy. Outdoors seating was great. The price was at the top end. A bowl of veges $10.really. Main meal came to $45 with veges or have meat and mashed spuds.for 34.

Visited just for morning coffee and cheese scones, both very good, especially lovely with the voucher (picked up at our motel). Nice location at the waterfront

Went for breakfast! Had egg on toast, tomato and chives soup and custard slice. A bit pricey, the egg was pure fried with no seasoning: (hash browns were $3 each. Otherwise the food was ok, loved the custard slice. The ladies were really friendly though:)

Recommend! We visited this morning (9 of us in total) and after walking round and reading menus decided to pop in. All Breakfasts were lovely, well cooked and yum! Drinks were nice and staff were extremely friendly and accommodating with allergies/dietary that we had. Clean toilets! And There is a play area for the kiddies which was great for our little ones. Thanks heaps

Horrible horrible food!
Me and hubby went in for our anniversary dinner. The front staff were lovely and very helpful, made us feel welcomed and we thought it would be a great experience.
The food was so disgusting and ripped off! My skinny piece of salmon and 2 fried eggs were $26. My hubby got a steak (cooked as requested) and a palm sized salad for $26. Not to mention the "mushroom sauce" was actually "just add water" packet gravy.
We were so dissatisfied and disappointed with the food.
Front staff were amazing though! 2 young ladies and a young man.

Delishes eggs benedict. I swap English muffins for potato rosti which was yummy and crispy on outside

Just had breakfast here and the Staff were fantastic, so polite and helpful and the food came out very quickly. They make a great iced chocolate! Would definitely come here again

Management need to reassess quality and time management in the kitchen. Chicken burger meal unsatisfactory, dry bun, no substance. All finished then last kids meal comes after a reminder. Given an almost empty sauce bottle after requesting sauce. Unsatisfactory. Improvement needed.

Coffee and scones, Coffee was ok, we had a cheese scone and a date scone, both the scones were stale, dry and tasteless, we actually didn't even bother eating them in the end, definitely a poor experience, wouldn't recommend this pace at all

Horrid experience. Please avoid at all cost.
Waited 45 minutes only to be told there was no longer any of the food we ordered available. Not even an apology, when we asked for a refund we were met with rude eye rolling.

Really disappointing food. Cheap taste yet over priced. Didn't get what we ordered which further added to the disappointment

Me and my family came out to eat here and got ripped off. Cesar salad was 20 plus $5 for the chicken came out over cooked and dry. Worst off all we paid 23.90 for a steak sandwich. More like a big dry bun with a peace of lettuce and a slither of chutney, with some dry chips. Way over priced for the low quality of food. Please don’t waste your money at this cafe!

Ordered a flat white and ham, cheese and onion toasted sandwich after repeating my order 4-5 times as the woman was having trouble with the till. Service was quick but I got served a milky weak flat white (terrible) and a ham, onion and tomato toasted sandwich with whole slices of onion. Asked for a refund and that was no issue but still, wouldn’t go there again.

Best eggs Benedict I've had in ages.
The sweet balsamic took it to the next level, well done!
Coffee was great as well

My boyfriend and I came up to Taupo for the night from Hastings and came here for lunch both days. Was amazed by the smoothies and shakes and food was amazing! Such a nice little place, very pleased and will be back. Only thing was my boyfriend’s alcoholic drink was so expensive, wasn’t sure if we were overcharged? The staff are so friendly too, overall great place to come for food

One star for a good musli. Minus 3 for terrible service and over price. The waiter didn't even go two steps more to see our number and I had to go there. They added a 15% surcharge for public holidays in the fine print on the menu. The other meal we ordered was terrible as well as the overpriced Anzac cookie which nearly broke the plate because it was so hard. 50 bucks for an overpriced Müsli and coffee. I'll try to remember not to go there again.

Beautiful service. Was introduced in the restaurant with my family very well, the food was AMAZING! Best egg Benedict I’ve had by farrrrr! Amazing place to dine at. Interior is beautiful and the view of the sea is priceless. They have a kids area which was shocking because where I’m from you don’t have stuff like these which was nice to think of! Big props to the boss for this idea. Would recommend this my family and friends
