Taupo DeBretts Spa Resort

We stayed for 3 nights in a place we paid top dollar for but unfortunately it didn't live up to expectation. Had our unit been clean and serviced at a high level we would've loved the place. The grime, splatters of muck on the walls, hair left in the bathroom, dirty dishes and overall unclean unit was very disappointing to say the least.

One of the best campsites ever, the facility are so clean and modern and comfy, and the hot pools are just perfect to treat yourself to some warm comfort!

I found the staff kind and helpful. The unit however was pretty gross. Mould, hair in bed, food and rubbish under beds, dust, dirty walls. Its a real shame, it wouldn’t take much to sort it out.
Pools were pretty expensive for what it is. We only went once and that was enough.

Perfect stay for family of 3-4 with playgrounds and pools onsite. Motel one-bedroom apartment room was much bigger than expected. Could improve on towel service from laundry, otherwise room service was exceptional. Friendly staff. Close to town and activities. Pools were divine.

The villa we stayed in was clean, had all amenities needed. The underfloor heating was an absolute bonus! Short walk from pools and amazing view.

Spent 5 nights here with my parents and it was lovely. The villa we shared was tidy and comfortable, the staff were friendly, and it was the perfect location just barley outside of town to enable us to relax. The view from our room was also a bonus and we got some bonus duck visitors.

I stayed in the motorhome camp. It is really well looked after. The facilities are great and clean.
I had a fassage with Charlotte at the Living Waters Spa - 10/10.
The hot pools are really lovely.

Stayed in a fully furnished cabin. Sadly the room wasn’t very well maintained in terms of cleanliness. Found old socks under the bed and a lot of grime. Plates and cups were dirty also. Place needed a good scrub down and broken things needed replacing. Friendly staff however and a great location. Awesome having the mineral pools so close.

Stayed in one of the cabin. Clean and very fundamental. A great view of the lake. Good value for money.

We had a powered site here for our tent. We loved the hot pools and the kids loved the bouncy pillow. Also it's a great location for a bike ride into the town.

Took the family to de bretts hotpools. Was quite busy but that was expected being it was school holidays. The toilet was dirty with toilet paper etc all over the ground which wasn't very pleasent but that would be my only negative. The pools were nice.

Terrible. We got a cabin. The bed I slept on was absolutely horrible. The mattress was so thin, i could feel the metal slats digging into my back. Tossed and turned all night. VERY uncomfortable! Worst sleep ever. Also as we checked in.we were told there is 2 car parks. 1 for us and 1 for the cabin next to us. We'll the car park space was only big enough for 1 vehicle, so we had to park on the grass around the back. It's not the cleanest or friendliest place to stay.

The bathrooms are so warm. Helpful to have them unisex so as a mum travelling with two young boys we could go into the same bathroom. Discounted prices for the hot pools were a bonus too!

We were staying in a campervan so can't comment on accommodation.

Went solely for a spa treatment, no stay. Massage was fantastic, masseuse was kind, the treatment was super relaxing and using local ingredients, only pity was that the day spa area is right beside the main all ages pool so it wasn't peaceful and quiet for some parts of the experience, but otherwise great!

Very very impressed! Our power went out and we were upgraded to a very nice suite with a bathroom and multiple beds as well as a view. The spa part was fantastic as! Would go back for sure. Loved it!

Wonderful pools. Very relaxing and great for the kids too. We stayed in one of the motel cabins which was lovely. Very clean, warm and comfortable.

My partner and I had a powered site at Debretts last week (mid August). Thankfully we got a spot right next to the facilities block as it was sooooo cold and the shared spaces were all heated and cosy.

The staff at reception and at the pools were very helpful and friendly, even providing change for the laundry.

The thing I loved most was that the shared spaces (kitchen, dining room, showers and toilets) were all very contemporary and clean. It was a pleasure to stay there. We only spent two nights there, but enjoyed the pools and the private pool as well. Very nice place and we highly recommend it.

Used a powered site for the jught. Very clean. Good facilities in particular the spa being just a few minute walk eith discounted entry for guests! Friendly staff. Chilled vibe. Really enjoyed and would recommend

Kids absolutely loved the pools. Water was warm and had a wonderful family time. Shame that big slide was under maintenance.

Loved our stay 1st time staying here and it didn’t disappoint! Lovely Larissa in the office was amazing the room was amazing clean and so warm and the TV was brilliant.would love to come back in the summer with the tent! The kids had lots of fun in the playground and the pools! Only thing I wish they would reconsider the height restriction for the two slides that were open, I totally understand the height restriction for the dragon slide as that has a 1.2 metre pool to drop into. But the other two slides my boy could have easily hooned down them he was just under the 1.2 mark. But otherwise the pools are fantastic. Can’t wait to come back.
