Taupo Taxis

Really lagged. App and company don't function well at all. They were run off their feet however it seemed no one knew what was happening and no eta provided.

I ordered a taxi on NYE, I knew there would be a massive wait. After about an hour I called back to check on the taxi that I had ordered and they had confirmed. The man told me its definitely on its way. I asked for an ETA then he told me it'd be 3-4 hour wait. Why on Earth take all of these orders if you can't actually pick people up?

Driver went well over 80km, probably 90km or more in 50km zones, slammed on their brakes at a stop sign not knowing it was even there and came nowhere near to a stop, ran the stop sign. Almost hit a crossing island and went around tight corners that are about 30km corners at about 70km. Almost hit multiple parked cars. My partner was crying and he carried on speeding down the lakefront at atleast 80km. Disgusting driving. Deserves to be fired and license taken off him.

Rung another company first who could not guarantee a van to pick up at 7pm (I called 3 hours in advance) and offered 2taxis if they couldn't get a van. Long story but NO!

So I called this company who's friendly operator sorted it promptly and was super great. Taxi driver turned at on time, he was professional and friendly and a good driver.

Friendly. Advised about 10 min wait at booking, turned into 25min wait but luckily I wasn't in a big hurry

Our group ordered a taxi van for 10.30pm at around 2pm that day. Lady on the phone was abrupt, confirmed we were booked in and seemed like she just wanted us off the phone.
We called back at 8.00pm to confirm that we are booked in and she said that no vans were available but they would sent two cars.
No taxi van turned up, no cars turned up. We called again and were on hold for 25 minutes to be told "we are busy. We might be able to send someone, we will see. " No taxis turned up at all.
Why take bookings if you don't actually do bookings? Hugely disappointing.

Pre booked a taxi 48 hours in advance never showed up so we called taxi had no recollection of booking eventually got a taxi to arrive and was charged over $20 for a 7 min ride

Called taxi service 3 times no one showed up and had to pay a guy in car park to give a ride home

Left prescription glasses in cab. Response when phoning 3 days later has been appalling. Quite abrupt & rude. Even suggested i hadn't used their services. No follow up. Suspect I will be buying a new pair. Have used this firm in the past but never again and would not recommend

Rang and order 2 vans to town booked in for 12. They didn't show we rang back they said sorry there's a delay so we just waited and wait anyway long story short we rang numerous times and then finally one car turns up cause they told us there's was now no van available like how is that possible when we booked one.anywho we eneded up asking to send 4 cars being there was many of us. And they failed to even show after the first cars none came after that. So half of my friends missed out thanks to this company who obviously a needs to hire more staff.

Used this taxi company and was totally ripped of. The trip from top10 to town should have been about $10 the Indian driver charged us $13.90. I’m going to tell every motel, hotel, camp ground etc about this taxi company.

Terrible service! Booked a van and never turned up. Called and they lady didn't care, or offer alternative, taxi was 45 mins late. Ended up booking with Great Lake Taupo Taxis who showed up within 10 minutes would not recommend.

Great Taxi company. The other taxi company no where in sight. Blue Bubble is the way to go! Walk out the pub and what do you see three blue bubbles waiting outside. Good to go

Extremely satisfied with the service provided. Very friendly and humble staff. Would recommend everyone to go with it whenever wishing to travel around Taupo.

The taxi came fast so I appreciated that. However, the taxi man was taking me around in circles so I would have the pay more I was not very happy. Usually its about a 5 min drive home. The route is super straight forward. But he was turning into random streets driving round and around. Usually I pay no more than $15 home, with this man it stated I had to pay about $25 so I spoke up, but his response was snappy and rude.

Summer Concert Friday Night - Telephoned Taupo Taxi at 5: 11pm to order a taxi van for 7: 20pm. At 7: 24pm I called to inquire where the taxi van was because we had a dinner booking at 7: 30pm. The very rude telephonist said no vans were available, but they could send two taxi cars. When I asked why they had not advised us of this, the telephonist was dismissive and threatened to hang up on me. This taxi firm was most unprofessional and lacked any degree of customer service.

It is a purely fraud company. I told them to book from rainbow lodge to craters of the moon and asked for estimated price. They said 10 dollars. I thought it might be the reasonable service. But then at the end off trip the taxi driver asked for 31 dollars citing there was error about communication regards destination which was not true. I had asked the dispatch operator twice on the phone regarding the destination (craters of the moon) and confirmed the price for it too.

I rang to enquire about booking a taxi suitable for a wheelchair, told they can take the booking but no guarantee it will be available. I asked if I could contact the driver direct as need to confirm and told definately not. Asked for a fixed price as planned to use it 4 time on friday and Saturday.told no! The call taker hung up.not a good look.

Horrible service. I called, the person who answer the phone it’s not polite at all. She told me the taxi was coming soon after 15 minutes they called me that the taxi was going to pick me up 15 minutes later. So half and hour wait. I lost my appointment and they didn’t even apologize. Really bad service.

Great taxi service, I am using their service frequently drivers are so good to customers fast, cheap, reliable and safe service in Taupo. Thank you Taupo Taxis.
