45The staff were not happy in their work, to almost rude. No spoons, sugar brought out to table with coffee. Another stsff member did this kater. Almost rude with pleasantries at all. Only one staff lady gave us a free coupon fir foid not being up to standard. She was only one to be pleasant to us as customers who didnt actually ask for much.
Had our planning meeting here, spent most of the working day enjoying the warm and friendly hospitality. The staff are so avcommodating. No cost for use of space. Food was fabulous. They even have healthy food options - spiced fish was delicious and only 280 calories!
Had a hot chocolate and scone, and partner had a milkshake. Both enjoyed it very much. The date scone was truly delicious, came back following day for the vegan burger and my partner the steak, chips and gravy.
Again, to be repeated. We will be back.
Very good service, very good food and priced nicely. Full breakfast was $26 and one of the best I've had in New Zealand.
Cold.expensive.staff all had sour looks and what appeared to be the owner was micro managing them all.
I really recommend this place. It has amazing food and the staff are very helpful and kind. The place it self is a nice cosy area. Empty plates all around
What a great place! Fantastic interior design, creative menu, beautiful meals. Really friendly staff and owner. I had the calamari and prawns and it was delicious and memorable. We will be back!
Warm greeting on entry. Very welcoming vibe. Breakfast was the menu we ordered from. I'm very fussy when it comes to scrambled eggs but, thoroughly enjoyed. I would recommend The District as a regular place to visit. My son was very happy with his meal also. Thank you for a great start to the day.
Had a great brunch with 6 people. The food and coffee were delicious and will stop by again when passing through Hamilton.
Here by chance, great staff, and excellent quality big breakfast.
Keep that chef on District!
Delicious waffles and spanish churros dish withe mascarpone, it was yummo and as always great service!
Friendly staff, generally good food but coffee is regularly undrinkable. Tried it several times but was usually dissapointed.
Went with a small group for lunch on a Saturday. Despite being quiet the service was very slow. Some meals and coffee ariver cold, orders were mixed up and the food was not good value for money. Very disappointing
Service was slow despite being a quiet Saturday lunchtime. Orders were mixed up. Some food and coffee was cold. Disappointing!
Haven’t been here in ages but met my husband here for breakfast/lunch, we both got the eggs beni, his with bacon and mine with mushrooms I love when you have the option and our eggs were absolutely perfect. The beetroot aioli is amazing aswell. Quick service is what you need in this area. Will be keen to bring back our workers for quick lunches
Fabulous place - must visit! Brilliant food - if you're gluten, dairy, anything free; vegetarian; vegan; or a plain old carnivore - you must try
I met a friend here for coffee - staff were helpful and friendly - it was quiet at that time - so it was good to catch up and have a chat with my friend
Have been here twice in two days cause i cant get enough! The coffee is the best coffee, such a delish combo the mocha was and i am a barista.i had the thai red curry which was smooth, creamy and had good heat also.have been a casual visitor here for a few months and i feel like a regular now. Fantastic cafe that ticks all the boxes. Great work to the team and the owner, you should be very proud!
I’m a long black coffee drinker and for me, the coffee here is pretty average, it’s rather drying - a typical kind of over cooking that roasters do for people who want caramel lattes because they don’t like the taste of coffee. You could do with a decent single origin bean or something that doesn’t dry out the mouth.
