The Gulmohar Indian Restaurant reviews
60 I got the goat curry with bone in and it was absolutely amazing. Really large protions with lots of meat. I can really recommend this dish.
Sooooo good.
Thank you
Best restaurant in Hamilton town. Amazing atmosphere and comfy seating. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Food is always yum at reasonable price! Will be back
The food was very good, all our meals were excellent and came out too quickly even how busy the establishment was. Service was excellent. Recommended to everyone. Will definitely back!
I ordered takeaways. The lids were so badly put on that the butter chicken from both containers leaked all over my passenger car seat, down beside the seat belt and on to the carpet. My car now stinks of butter chicken. Be very careful if getting takeaways from this establishment. It would probably pay to take a spill proof bag so this doesn't happen to you.
I don't think I will ever be able to get the smell out of my nice car.
I've ordered the chicken tikka masala dish for lunch. It was a lunch special for $16. It came with a drink, naad bread, curry and a papadam. The chicken tikka masala curry was pretty average, I don't think it was marinated and char grilled properly BUT for the price.it was definitely value for money! The place was quite busy during lunch time. I would recommended others to give it a try.
My kids and I most favoured place for lunch. Always available parking, friendly and welcoming and amazing tasty food. Slowly working my way through the menu. The eyes are always bigger than the stomach and forget how much flavour and amount is packed in the little bowls. Too tasty to not finish it though. The saagwala prawn and beef probably most different dishes to try and it's fantastic
Takeaways on a busy Saturday night.
A little wait (20 minutes) but the food is worth it!
Wonderful service. Kids meals very generous size and banquet great value (enough for takeaways for the next night!).
Such a lovely place to go in with family and friends for the lunch and dinner or to celebrate any ceremony
Excellent Service and Wonderful food. Definitely a great place for Indian food. We definitely be back and would highly recommend.
The food was great, that’s why I did a 3 star, but I forgot my jacket so went back to get it and I found one of the staff members sitting at our table eating our left overs. That put me off and I’ll never go back. Such a shame.
Had a great meal here. Food was delicious, staff was friendly.
Recommend goat curry & Chicken Methi Malai.
We absolutely love this place, this restaurant is one of our favourites restaurant in Hamilton, tasty food, fast service, very polite and nice people working around here 100 % recommend safe, clean and good price. Thank you!
Food was delicious, especially the Naan was so soft.
And I appreciate the welcoming staff and Manager.
Don’t usually give bad reviews but this one needed it due to bad customer service. My partner wanted to order the lunch special the lady said he could.becau
He looks at his watch and it is 12: 30pm! She stutters for a bit knowing her mistake and then says that she could not serve him lunch special because it is busy? But she would have taken his order if he were to order something other than lunch special
I always prefer to go this restaurant food is very tasty and staff is very friendly. Overall the restaurant is hygenic.
We have and do travel extensively and always try the local Indian restaurants, this one is a standout in terms of the flavoursome dishes we tried, highly recommended. We shared the Lamb Saagwala and a Beef Chettinad both delicious once you get over the verdant colour of the spinach lamb dish (NZ dairy farmers might find it a bit confronting) We chose the hot end of the scale and found it right for our palates that are used to a fair bit of chilli. The plain Naan was ok, the rice exceptional, longest grain basmati I have seen, loosely cooked. The serving size was, for us large and the price very reasonable. The young waitress was pleasant and helpful, all in all a worthwhile experience, just wish our local was as good.
My family and I had a lovely experience here. The staff were so friendly and attentive and the food was delicious! We all got different curries and we were all very satisfied. The place was very clean and had a really nice chill vibe. Will definitely be returning!
Service is very Good.
Food is also very nicely served.
All in Good.
Cute little lady was very good at customer service.
Will recommend.
All the best.
I just can't fault it, service was great, very friendly and genuinely pleasant.
Our dinner was served quickly for a table of 8 and the food was vey very nice.
I left feeling very satisfied.
If I had to find one thing to be really picky about it would be the naan, it was only 3/5 but that's being ultra critical.
