Forgot to serve me my food
They said u can order on your table
Did so
After 30 mins they did last call for drinks
Ordered another drink and asked about food
They said oops sorry forgot to pass it on will get it rushed now
5 mins later they said sorry kitchen is closed we cant do anything
They refunded the money which was ofcourse a must
But was really disappointing that they just FORGOT about food order
Like why keep the order from table online feature if this stuff will happen
They cant even say it was busy because it was only 2 or 3 including us
And then we had to wonder around for food
Like there are some screw ups which a sorry or refund can do the fix up or sometimes a voucher but how do u fix this up?

The first time ever. We ordered a tasting paddle of 5 beers/ciders which came with a side of pretzels, all for $21. Plus it had a very unique food delivery system.a robot.

Went into Taphouse this evening and was sorely disappointed with the service our table received. We were firstly ignored by the woman behind the bar, as she was too busy laughing and chatting on the phone to serve us. We then walked to the burger place instead. When we returned, we overheard the woman say she did not care if we were to complain as she was "doing her job". We enjoyed the food and drinks, but her service was disappointing and rather off-putting. Very unprofessional on her part.

Ok so never going to this place ever. So four of us girls decided we are going for some ciders and food on a Wednesday evening around 6pm. As soon as we enter there is this guy (staff) behind the counter looking at us in awestruck and rolling his eyes and the instant vibe he gave was not welcoming, so we went towards a table and I asked him if it’s ok we sit around the corner table, he just nodded his head and no response was given, no acknowledgement was given even we had to go and ask for some cups and water which we don’t mind and the they were empty they had people only on two tables. Anyway moving on we do not get given a menu so we go ask for that as well and than we can still sense the guy behind the counter was still not giving us welcoming vibes, which I found very rude, so we decided we wanted to go elsewhere from there, but we were keen on bowling later so we thought let’s order food and drinks there, why ruin our vibe for a staff who’s being rude and felt not getting a pay rise or something. So me and my friend we went to the counter to order drinks and food and this guy asks for our IDS? And I said I have been here before and no one ever asked for IDS and all of a sudden you asking for a ID, he responded back that you guys look under 25s. I said we currently don’t have it on us as we never get asked and this is the first time at this place you are asking for ID and we have it on our phones. He is like no I need the actual ID. I was like thank you for the compliment and we left from that place instantly. I don’t know what the problem was he was judging us because we looked under 25s and dint wanted to serve us because it would only increase his work and he dint want to be there or something or he was judging us due to our ethnicity because nobody else got asked for a ID and they did not have any signs that only under 25s will not be served ciders and none of us was under 25. Never going to this place ever, pathetic service and staff spoiled our evening and mood very disrespectful. Wednesday evening around 6.15 to 6.30pm 18/01/2022.

I had such a bad experience with male staff working yesterday evening.

He was not able to perform the basic greetings, on the other hand he was rolling his eyes while seeing us entering the place.
Where NZ is a country famous for their greetings.
He didn’t came to allocate the tables to us, neither he presented the Menu or offered us water.

I love it.my fave place but call Last call at 8.30 then pack up opening all the doors so u freeze to death
. Refuse to open. Up their kitchen so can only get burgers there and have to shut when eat burger shuts

Great place if your hanging out for a beer and burger. Recommend IPA and Dirty burger. Delivery to table is also a little novel.

Nice ambiance & location. We wanted to get a drink while waiting for our food from the burger place. But we were turned away & was told they were already closed when it was only 8: 30 PM (closing hour is 9: 00 PM).

Nice ambience here at The Local and we love how they are attached to EAT enjoyed our Espresso Martini’s and were well looked after by the lovely Lee

Good food delivered by cute robot waiters to your table. Menu could use a wider selection of items as mostly burgers. A little messy to eat by hand and the loaded fries werent as good as described on the menu. Nice for a casual lunch spot.

We went to the local taphouse for lunch last Sunday 27/3/22. I will not be recommending this place to anyone. For starters we waited three quarters of an hour to an hour for our food and it wasn't that busy. When our food did arrive it was not what I would say was worth the wait. The batter was really hard around the fish and when you did get to the fish it was hard and dry. The burger bun was soggy and the egg was really over cooked and to some degree burnt. I also received a very small portion of half cooked chips. We ordered the side dish, the bacon and cheese chips. This looked like it was just thrown together and not very warm. The fish appeared to of been cooked in old used by date oil. In fact the whole meal was not hot, just slightly warm. The only positive things I will say is that we received friendly service from the lady at the bar when ordering drinks that day. I appreciated my lemon, lime, and bitter drink while waiting, and finally my son did say he enjoyed his burger.

A bit disappointed. Beer was nothing special, burger was just a bit too sloppy to be eaten in the hand, and no atmosphere.

Amazing burgers! Washing it down it with our fave hazy ipa! Definitely recommend this place, great vibe and awesome customer service

Visited here 2 weeks ago and I really enjoyed it. Travelling through I found this bar and its staff to be amazingly attentive. Drinks were reasonable and its location is great also.

Ok, it's called "s"moors" or something like that. Apparently it's an American dish. So, you gotta try this if your a sweet tooth. It's dynamite! I ordered it again but takeaway this time. I mist confess, I couldn't finish it for the 2nd time. However, I will take a third attempt in the near future.

It's made of roasted marshmallows and maybe nuttella or some other rich chocolate. It's served with these biscuits (cookies).

I dare you to try it!

Highly recommend the Waikato burger and the milkshake too!

We popped in for dinner on a cold Tuesday night.

We shared a chicken burger and a loaded fries w/cheese & bacon bits.

The chicken burger was quite good. The patty seemed to be pan fried but quite edible.

Unfortunately the loaded fries were a bit of a disappointment. It seemed to be spray cheese coupled with almost bacon floss. Wouldn't recommend at all.

The only saving grace was that the burger cane with a drink from the tap of which I chose a very nice raspberry pear cider.

The bar staff did impress but if u come here, order something other than the loaded fries.

Delicious locally brewed beer and you can order burgers from eat burger which is next door. Delicious! And you can play your own music if you want
