Victoria Clinic reviews
74It take an hour for them to answer phone call. The ongoing excuse is staff shortage. Waiting time to see dr also 3 hours
Worst doctors, I would not recommend. Told to make an appointment with my doctor after getting my blood results, did that, paid $56 to be told I have to get my bloods redone in 6 weeks, that's it.
This is not the first time they have wasted my time, I have also made a complaint to the practice over other bad treatments.
I apologise for my review in advance.
I’ve been a patient with Victoria Clinic, since they first opened (on Anglesea), every time I ring the phone line, I am on hold for AT LEAST 30-40 minutes just to make an appointment.
When I then make an appointment, 50% of those times that I do, that appointment gets cancelled due to shortage of staff.
This urgent care is clearly only able to manage urgent care patients, as they definitely can not remain loyal to their registered patients.
Secondly, my GP left and moved back home overseas and I was not informed of this at all.
Thirdly, the amount of judgement that comes through from some nurse urgent care/ standard staff, is horrible.there is absolutely no understanding and compassion.
The amount of one star reviews is absolutely insane and deserves a cancellation as being a client from me.
The wait was long but the quality of care from Dr Sophie from Ireland was fantastic. Great doctor
Was turned away from urgent care and told I wasn’t an emergency. Of course it’s not otherwise I would have with to the hospital. It was a medical issue that was concerning to me. Paid $60.00 to be turned away now having trouble getting my money back. Caroline the nurse is also a liar, she told me to see the gp & I wouldn’t be seen that day, then said in front of the doctor she didn’t tell me to go home. Liar! Overworked, under the pump, but that’s not our fault is it. Also, have been waiting for over a week for a call back about an issue for my son. Nurse still hasn’t called.
I am on holiday from UK. Had nose bleed Saturday night ended up in New Plymouth hospital where they inserted packing. Which needed to be removed when I arrived here in Hamilton. The Victoria Clinic was excellent.
The staff were very friendly and efficient.
The Doctor. Gus.who removed the packing was excellent, kind, efficient, professional, gentle, understanding. The NHS in UK could pick up several tips on how to effectively and efficiently run the urgent care (A&E). Department. Thanks very much everyone.
Poor experience, did several tests for a serious issue but even 10 days later they never bothered to send it to a lab. I did end up paying for the consult, but they did not deliver as promised.
I know I had great service here but I can't remember too much of the content because of the concussion all I can recall from memory that they were straight to the point Proffesional loved the receptionist! I remember I wasnt able to find the right words and my own worst advocate? Omg thank you for Proffesional people who can put my long storytelling paragraph into a shorter sentence.
Being listened, heard and understood is so valuable. Thank you
Dr Ben Seaman is the best doctor I have ever dealt with. Kind, compassionate, caring and understanding. I have seen him a few times for a range of different issues and every time he has validated all of my concerns and really cared!
Walked in with our 14 month old who had just cut her finger a centimetre deep. She was covered in blood and so were we. The bleeding had stopped but they were seeing people who had no obvious signs of any distressing injuries and we waited for 30 minutes. We decided to leave after they served a girl who had come in after us. Anglesea saw us straight away and took us back to fix the finger up. (They had about 20 people waiting)
I went to Victoria Clinic back in July 2022 3 days after the hospital told me my elbow wasn’t broken, turns out it was very much broken. The doctors and nurses were very kind as well as helpful. They put a cast on right there and then and helped coordinated with the hospital about the next steps (Surgery). I can’t thank you guys enough for making my already traumatic / painful experience a bit more bubbly. Again thank you all very much.
Hi, can anyone recommend me who and where to see a doctor about my height growth. Please suggest me. Thanks
These guys have no idea how to run a clinic, unprofessional and make assumptions instead of proper examinations and diagnosis
Doctors and nurses were super kind and I didn’t have to wait too long for the urgent care. 100% recommend this clinic.
Pathetic services! We got in by 2.15pm, completed the formalities and waited for more than 1hr 30mins. Upon enquiring at the reception they told us we were next in line and suggested we wait for another 10-15mins to be seen by a doctor. After waiting for a while 2 other patients went inside and we kept waiting. Finally, decided to get a refund. Not the best place to go for urgent care.
Several weeks ago I went here for the first time. The nurse and doctor were very understanding, supportive and caring. I've then gone back and have been absolutely disgusted with the nurse, who was unprofessional, had a poor attitude and gave incorrect information based on personal opinion, including treating other patients in the waiting area in an uncaring, unfriendly and inconsiderate manner too, with no respect for their privacy. I didn't even get to talk to a doctor or other staff about how I had been treated and other patients walked out to go elsewhere saying they didn't want to deal with a nurse like that.
I have attended this practice throughout my 38 yrs and since tbey moved to anglsea st the practice has fallen to pieces.my last two visits i saw an indian doctor and i have never been so poorly treated and made to feel stupid by any doctor in my life but she did.she fobs you off with no interest AT ALL IN YOUR HEALTH. I BOOKED A SXL HEALTH CHECK AND SHE DIDNT HAVE TIME TO DO IT. I HAVE NOW AVOIDED DOCTORS SINCE AND I WILL NEVER ATTEND THERE AGAIN. ANOTHER INCIDENT IS SHE DID NOT EVEN LABEL MY SAMPLES AND I THEN HAD TO TRAVEL ALL THE WAY BACK TO DO IT AGAIN. NOW I NEED TO SEE A DOCTOR AND I CANT BECAUSE THE PRACTICE CANT EVEN SEND MY NOTES TO THE NEW CHOOSEN CENTRE IN FACT NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE FOR MORE THAN HALF AN HOUR WHEN YOU CALL. DO NOT USE THEM THEY ARE NOT WORTH A CENT.i was told by the first lady i spoke to this morning THE NOTES WERE SENT. THEY WERE NOT. I CALLED BACK 10 MINS LATER TO BE TOLD THAT THEY HAVE NOT RECIEVED THE REQUEST FROM THE NEXT DOCTORS BUT THEY DID ON MONDAY AND PRIOR TO THAT PHONE CALL I WAS TOLD THEY WERE SENT ALREADY. AND THEN WHEN TOLD THE DOCTORS HAD SENT THE REQUEST ON MONDAY. ARE YOU CALLING THE RECEPTIONIST AT DINSDALE A LIAR. SHE DISGUSTINGKY HUNG UP
. NOW IM CALLING FOR MANGEMENT COS WHAT DISGUSTING WAY TO TREAT SOMEONE SEEKING MEDICAL HELP
Just been for a consultation (early afternoon arrival at urgent care). ALL the staff were caring, friendly, and thorough. Dr Tonye’s manner and treatment was A+. Pharmacist at the end was also lovely. Thank you to everyone today, your kindness and service was really appreciated.
It took me nearly 2.5 hours to see a doctor in urgent care on a Wednesday afternoon and get the prescription I needed for antibiotics for a simple ear infection. And I had the privilege of paying $120 for the opportunity.
I went in to Victoria Clinic on Monday with a very sore leg after an accident. While it took about 1.5 hours to be seen, the nurses and doctors were fantastic. I ended up having a broken leg and the nurses had to cast it there and then. There were three nurses and they were awesome. So kind, great sense of humour (which I appreciate when in pain!). Excellent service. Thanks muchly!
