20Meant to collect rubbish once a week and always fails to do so yet will charge you for a full month of pick ups. Moving to another company that is more reliable.
Service has been horrendous, missed collections with no explanations, the app is pretty pointless, notifications for collections that don't take place.
After continued failures and poor service I’m discontinuing the service (Waipa / Te Awamutu area) and moving on. Suggest you choose another provider to save yourself hassles and time. They had one job to do, they failed to do it, and they communicated poorly about it.
No collection for 2 weeks within areas around Elizabeth Avenue, Fraser st etc within Te Awamutu and no notice of delayed service until enquired almost 2 weeks later where responded will do by Tuesday but a day later get a text no service until 3rd Friday due to mechanical issues. Took 2 weeks to realised had missed service and to notify had mechanical issue maybe would have never responded if no enquiry was made. Great value for service and communication and gotta do better than waiting 3 weeks to collect smelly and overflowing rubbish bins on roadside.
I used this service for a year & my bin was never emptied not to mention I live just on Weka Street which is only a street away. Not only is this business hopeless at rubbish collections they also have loud trucks that’s speed down Weka, Kereru & Kaka Street cause the houses to shake & the chains on the trucks bang loudly causing a disturbance to the Frankton Railway community. DO BETTER!
Being a customer for over 16yrs I am sad to say customer service seems to no longer be a priority.
After contacting regarding bins not being emptied, being assured this would be addressed, being given a day for collecting twice, I have now just rung a 3rd time.
I have even tried to ask for a bin swap, a interim additional bin as a solution, only to be told sorry no. These have both been options in the past which have resolved the issue in a timely manner.
The cost of service has kept rising, but not the service itself, this is becoming a issue, and not the first time. The person I spoke to in customer service did not give a name, and was also very rude, and dismissive.
Hoping manager of this company will look into it as we spend over $1000 per year with this company there is also no complaint department. You are not the cheapest, but what been very good.
Terrible service and would not recommend. We paid for a weekly pick up, they missed the bin on numerous occasions and we were charged. They stated the bin wasn’t out when they went to pick up. The bin was always out the night before and we have security cameras on the property to prove it was out. You can never get hold of them on the phone nor email. Also after doing research they are actually the most expensive compared to others.
DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!
Terrible company if waste collection is your goal. Save yourself the hassle and use another waste company. Half the time the truck drives straight past bin. Then have to ring and be advised they can’t re collect until next week. Yes cheap, however get what you pay for as they say. Have changed to a company that values its customers.
Useless business.missed my pre Christmas collection.
Do not use them as they are hopeless and do not respond to enquiries. I am not renewing my contract with them. I am sick and tired of bad businesses. They provide no notifications of late pick up either. HOPELESS, GARBAGE service to use a pun!
Ordered a wheelie bin, they did not pick this up every week for 4 weeks. Each week after spending forever on the phone was told a special pick up would be organised- it never was. Each time I was told this would be picked up next time- it never was. Eventually I cancelled the service after never having the rubbish removed and wasting hours on the phone waiting on their helpful but ineffective call centre.
Signed up for garden rubbish, bin got dropped off and no collection, called and emailed, tell me will be collected on Friday, we will see, I paid the first month now I see I have two invoices for July, which I paid before spotting it was two for the same month, and you can wait your life away on their hold line.wish I had read all the bad reviews first
This concerns "Garden Waste" service. Actually - no service. After a couple of collections - service has stopped. No amount of calls resulted in any improvements, or restarting service. I DO NOT recommend this service, or the company.
Very little recycling happening now. Piles of glass bottles were going into landfill. There was nowhere to dispose of my used motor oil - I was told to throw it into the landfill pile. A massive step down in diverting waste from the previous contractors who managed Hamilton's waste. Really sad to see.
Double charged me phone serivce is terrible called multiple times just to be hung up on or transfers been calling for over 2 hours not even sure if its possible to actually contact someone
I have been trying to book a bin (Permanent siting) what an absolute nightmare. Have rung several times to get put on hold for very long periods that have to eventually hang up. Have emailed for call back, "expect a call back within 2 working days" unbelievable. If there was another company to use, I would
We placed an order in December and received a bin shortly after.
They didn't process the order for months and had to be contacted to get a collection date.
So far despite constant contact with waste management they have missed 5/6 bin collections and both bag pickups.
Our bin hasn't been emptied in two weeks. I've tried multiple phone calls (the call fails after being on hold for about 10 minutes), emails (the emails fail to send), contact form (no reply), Facebook comments and messages (no reply). What kind of company is so uncontactable? I have footage of the truck coming down our street and then driving straight past our bin. There are other waste collection companies starting up in Hamilton, it would seem they are going to do well if this is the level of service from WM.
Ordered regular wheelie bin service online, they dropped off the bin a week ago and told me the expected collection date - all very smooth so far. Collection date comes and rubbish not collected. Called the number, after 15 minute wait and 20 mins on hold while nice lady followed up, I was told that the driver didn't collect as it's too far away for him to drive (6km out if city boundary, and when I booked online I had to enter my address so they could check to see if I was in the coverage area, which I was). I asked why did they drop the bin off if they couldn't collect it? All the nice lady could say was "exactly, I wonder that myself". They cancelled my service and offered a refund, wonder if I'll ever get it.
I've never experienced this bad service.

3 times over the 3 month!
I always have to bring the bin myself to their Hamilton branch when they don't collect my bin.
They makes me waste my time & gas fee.
Contact us page in their website and app are not working. So I've send massage via Facebook messager yesterday. Not respond yet.
But Hamilton branch reception lady is kind.
No answers just awhole bunch of "I don't knows". Ordered x2 240L bins paid for them 01-09-20 got confirmation that bins will be dropped off Friday 04-09-20 they didn't. Monday finally rolls around and only 1 out 2 bins gets delivered and then got told again that they don't know why only one got dropped off and have to wait again for another Friday drop off. God why did I even bother ordering bins. Just a big headache, ugh.
