34If you want a low key, local and friendly spot for a game of pool, a cool drink, a tasty meal and some shade away from the bustle of the beach definitely choose the RSA. It might not be an obvious choice but surrounded by reminders and artefacts of those who served you can take a moment to reflect and be grateful.
A very friendly and inviting place has a calming feel to it and the Restaurant is out of this world for food.
Busy but our meals were served in short time Pleasant surroundings with helpful smiling staff. We had an enjoyable time

Although the building is dark inside they often provide good entertainers such as Kevin G popular with all styles of dance

Lovely place to.park your motorhome. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food and price great. Thoroughly recommend.
Very lively, busy often (it seems), and interesting mix of persons. Just passing through but like this RSA particularly. Enjoy the food in their restaurant section, which is maybe half or more the life of this place.
Nice, environment is simple and tidy. All walks of life, a great way to be involved with other locals.
Only place we go out to dinner at while in Whanga and there always seems to be something good going on.
Great venue, great food, barmen needs a happy face. Nothing spoils a Sunday at a Club like a grumpy barman

Very good atmosphere with friendly service and great meals. The Whangamata County Music Club also meets at the Rsa on the 1st Sunday of each month from 11.30 am to 3.30pm. Kevin Greaves and his band continues from 4pm onwards.
We eat at the Thai restaurant regularly. Always good. Drinks are cheap plenty of events on there. We rate it highly.
