Ambience Cafe

Just finished the most excellent breakfast we've had on the Kapiti Coast! Corn fritters were VERY good, there's a little seasoning in there that made them different to other establishments. Kudos to the chef!
Our server was a really lovely younger girl, we noted her excellent attention to customers. Great atmosphere, great food, great service. Well done Ambiance cafe!
Will definitely be back!

Over priced for what it was, food not the best, service certainly could do with improvement

My favourite cafe ever! Discovered this place a couple of years ago and Since then I come 2-3 times a fortnight and I live about 30-40 mins away food is so yummy and lots to choose from. Staff are always friendly.

Great coffee, good breakfast selection. Really friendly staff. Best cheese scones apart from my own. Good location. Will eat here again.

The selection of food has to be seen to be believed! They also cater for customers who have special dietary requirements

Had a lovely lunch here yesterday at Ambience. This was our second visit but it was back in Summer. We sat inside in the little room off the main cafe but were told on arrival that it could be cold. Boy it was cold and so drafty from outside side doors. We had a 95 year old with us so wasn't ideal. We ended up getting blankets from our cars to help with the cold. This is not really acceptable at a cafe where you spend a couple of hours. You need to feel warm. Even when we were there in summer one of the ladies mentioned yesterday it was drafty back then too.

The staff were apologetic and said they would speak to the Manager. Apparently something was done re doors being closed or open at back of cafe and did made a little difference but not really ideal. It was fully booked so could not move to another table.

We all enjoyed our meals very much and service and staff are very friendly and helpful but you need to do something about this room especially in the middle of winter.

Not impressed with the drab omelettes here. No taste, very flat, no energy to the cooked food. Better to buy counter food. Very impressed with the service hence the 5 stars. Would i go back, No

Very good food and excellent service. When we arrived we could only sit at the high table with bar stools. Wasn't ideal for me as I use a walking stick. However, one of the staff moved us when one of the normsl tables freed up.
The bar stools were far too short for the height of the table. We all had to reach up to eat. Quite uncomfortable.
The cake cabinet was full of delicious looking cakes all Gluten Free which was a real treat as my wife is celiac. A little bit expensive per slice but my wife really enjoyed the three I bought for her.
I would certainly go back.

Consistently awesome. Great food and atmosphere. Amazing keto menu. Can't be beaten in Wellington for keto in my opinion!

Alright so the food is of prime quality. And most notably, they do offer keto-friendly options. However, it all comes at a price.

Had a 3 filling omelette for breakfast (bacon, mushrooms & spinach). Good size omelette, but not a lot of filling. Nicely presented with a fresh little side salad, which I liked. The coffee was not a short macchiato as ordered, but the tea was hot & in a good sized pot. Plenty of seating & great location across the road from the beach. They have a separate keto menu, and a cabinet of delicious looking cakes, many were keto, gluten free etc. I will certainly give this place a return visit to try more from their menu.

What a wonderful wee cafe! Great food the service was awesome and there was a big range of keto food. I recommend this place for a wee feed. Oh and I was told the coffee was great!

Went here for lunch after a Sunday drive up the coast. Place was fairly busy and a little chaotic. The spare tables all had the previous customers plates and food on them. Took a while to get these cleared. Staff were friendly and helpful when they finally got to us.
My wife ordered a keto meal. Fantastic that this is an option, but she found the meal a little small (or price a little high) for what she got. Was tasty though.
I ordered a filo with a side salad. The filo was really nice but the salad had peanuts through it which was a surprise. To be fair, The menu does say to mention any allergies to staff, but I wasn’t expecting peanuts in a rice salad. Luckily I’m not severely allergic and was able to pick them out.

Went there with the wife for coffee and KETO cake. Raspberry, Lemon and Coconut cake. Yummy! Loved the level 2 table service. Why not doing that all the time. Worked much better than the usual queues in front of the till.

As usual very busy here, but once ordered the meal came quickly and was delicious. Had the gluten free ambience special. Great coffee too

"Simple" friendly staff greet you find a table not that easy when the food and coffee is that good best Hot Chocolate bar none my cafe of preference on the kapiti Coast.

Very pleasant experience. Great service, tasty food, staff alert to bringing coffees when the meals were eaten. A definite recommend!

Had a booking for 14 on a Saturday at 1.00. Everything went as smoth as silk. Lovely food and great service. Well done team.

Really pretty wee cafe, great food and nice to have vegan and gluten free options. We came in at 1 pm on a Sunday and our food came out so quickly and tasted great!
