Apple Quarters Cafe reviews
27 Lovely stop in for a coffee, service was good even though it was quite busy, they were very kind and allowed us to fill our water tank on our van! Lots of fresh fruit to buy as well, and an assortment of wines and ciders!
Definitely a good place to stop
Excellent place for a Sunday lunch with family. The food is outstanding and their local made brandy a must in your bar.
The food was really tasty. I had a halloumi salad and my husband had the homemade sausages and chips. We also did a wine tasting. Amazing organic wines. Wonderful service the owners are lovely and welcoming. Highly recommend!
Such a lovely family run café.
The outdoor garden is a lovely spot to sit & relax.
Remus gave us a great wine / Liqueur tasting his organic drinks are a must try.
My favorites were definitely the Apple wine & Raspberry liquor.
Lily makes a lovely coffee and the cheese muffins were amazing too.
We can't wait to go back.
Wow. This place was a lovely surprise. They make their own wines and liquors, sampled a few. Very good and very reasonably priced.
Lovely garden setting, but the coffee was utterly dreadful and the food was just ok. If you're going to charge $4.50 for a small flat white it better be as good as the best coffee in Wellington. The croissant was tough and chewy, like it was either very stale or had been frozen and reheated at least once. The other food was passable but nothing special.
What a great place with a relaxing and friendly vibe, Remus gave us a great tasting experience of his own Apple wines, Ciders, Brandy and liqueurs my favorite was his Apple Brandy, It's amazing how different the wines taste with no preservatives you can really taste the flavours, Lily's food at the café is fantastic with some of your traditional scones etc and Romanian foods, The café also has a wonderful garden area which is peaceful with the sound of native bird's and with plenty of space to social distance which is important in these covid time's, I highly recommend this place which offers great products and hospitality will definitely be visiting often
This is a family friendly, unpretentious, cafe with excellent food and welcoming hosts who really care for their guests. Highly recommended for a family lunch. (The home-made sausages are a real treat).
This cafe is only slightly tucked away off SH1, but what a treat on a sunny clear day. They have an indoor space with toys for children and a quiet garden to enjoy. The BLT I ordered was a generous size and the coffee was good. They have craft wine/gins/liqueurs. The range isn't huge but it's seasonal and delicious. Very happy to give tastings too. Went in for a coffee and walked away with a few bottles.
Nice and quiet with a lovely garden area. Good food and selection of organic produce. Great value. Not a trendy cafe; more down to earth and quirky. Laid back. Recommend for a change
Good club visit for lunch. Good menu and description if wines and juices on a organic business. Sampling of produce after lunch with options to purchase
Quite unique apple products and some interesting red and white wines. Well worth a visit. Food is pretty good to!
Enthusiastic, friendly, warm service and passion shows in the cooking Highly recommended for a cozy, sweet lunch or breakfast stop
Great hosts. Very enthusiastic about their organic farm. Interesting wines and apple products. Very nice food. Well worth a visit.
A cafe off-the-beaten track so to speak. Quaint rustic type cafe with a nice outdoor seating area.
Bacon and eggs for brunch, very nice. A slight musty smell inside though.
Amazing place, just 50 meter away from road. If you looking for proper home style worming meal - that's your stop.
Such a good experience. I was desperate for coffee but realised as I turned off the car that the cafè wasn't open. The owner saw me, however and came to ask what I wanted and was happy to make me some coffee. Then he didn't have change and my card wouldn't work but was happy to just give me the coffee or to trust me to come back later (which I did). Please go support the cafè
You'll find this hidden garden cafe just north of South Pacific Roses and south of Otaki, off State Highway 1, a short distance along the side street. In summer the garden is a beautiful suntrap for lunch. We called in recently for coffee and to pick up a bottle of their organic apple cide vinegar, and were treated to a quick wine tasting of the house red and white wines. We also took away some tamarillo liqueur.
Such a nice place, the owner couldn't of been
More accommodating and friendly to us all. Nicest Apple Slice I've ever had, so so good
Unfortunately when we went this time the food wasn't great. Scones we're very dry this time unfortunately but have had nice food there before
