Very disappointing meal. Gristle in the steak, which was also overcooked, and very over-priced for what I got. Small portions and nothing that couldn't be made at home. The dessert was small and bland. The whole meal lacked technique and finesse. I won't be back. I see I got a "damage control" response from the owner. Not surprised! I'm afraid I won't be back to try again.

Bad experience, sent food back twice as it was cold. Wait staff good but run off their feet. Would not eat here again.

Fantastic food served by Staff with smiles. We had the Full Mest Board for 8, was amazing and perfect feed for continuous Grazing and Cocktails were great too

We had a tasty dinner here on a lively Saturday night. The drinks were great and the food was delicious. We saw someone else order the meat platter and it looked amazing. There's indoor and outdoor seating and the staff are friendly and helpful!

We decided to try Bin44 as they were on first table and neither of our party of 4 had been before. The atmosphere was loud and the tables are quite close together. We ordered drinks, entrees and mains. We enjoyed our cocktails. Entrees were alright. Three of us ordered the pork belly which was inedible. The layer of fat was mushy and the meat had an unpleasant smell, was dry and didn’t taste like pork. The other person had a pizza which seemed to be store bought base with some meat and cheese slapped on top. When asked how our meal was, we told the server that we were unable to eat the pork, to which he shrugged and walked away. Another server came over and told us we could speak with the chef and manager. When going up to pay we spoke with the chef and manager and explained the problems with the pork, who told us that pork belly isn’t always crispy and they hadn’t had any complaints before. We weren’t very happy with the lack of empathy however were thankful for the gesture of discounting our bill. I don’t think any of us will return for a meal, however the cocktails were nice and we can imagine the outdoor seating area would be nice in summer.

Went for a father daughter date.loved their half n half pizza. Since neither of us could manage a whole pizza by ourselves we got this half topped Azuro and half with Carne. It didn't disappoint nor was it amazing. She also got a Virgin Mango Sangria and we finished with a Vegan boysenberry and chocolate mousse cake which she was more than happy to eat by herself

It's s really nice place for burgers chips snd cocktails amongst other things. Nice friendly helpful staff

Staff seemed to be on another planet! Had to query where our mains were about 40 minutes after we were seated! The food was good but it was not good enough to get me to come back! Pretty disastrous birthday dinner!

Great place for after-work drinks. We shared a few bowls of chips which were great. Decent wine selection, staff were fine too

What a lovely place to relax on a summer’s evening. A perfectly relaxing location to sip on an cold beverage and nibble on chips.
It had been a long hot day but staff were still attentive and chatty.

The service is ALWAYS slow, whether they're busy or not. Beer selection is pretty good, meat platter is pretty good, everything else is average. E.g. Calamari is tasty but always a smidge undercooked, and doesn't come out golden brown. They serve food without napkins and utensils, and you always have to ask for water.

This is all very consistent, so if you know what they're like you can kind of work around it, but if not you're likely to be disappointed.

Average at best. Poor French guy was basically looking after the whole outside dining area by himself. Guests had no chance. Wine was great (really enjoyed that) but sadly the food was lacklustre. Pasta was cold and bland. Was returned to be heated and came back hot. Pizza. Unfortunately, dominos do a better job. Sounded amazing on paper but was overcooked and really looked like it was slapped together by a lazy uninspired (perhaps overworked) chef.
This is our second visit in a month or so. (From Christchurch). First visit had the meat platter which was great. Service from young waitress was impeccable. Manners from the bar were atrocious.
Sadly, we’ve overstated our welcome here and won’t be back.

Great food, great service, great staff, great beer & great prices. My only constructive feedback is that the table we had was sticky. Didn’t like that. Other than that. Top marks.

Not a great experience yesterday evening. Popped in for some food, several options not available to us, then we saw people who arrived after getting the food we were told was not available. Food was pretty bland too, pasta had no flavor at all. And when you supply kids menus with colouring pages, you should consider supplying more than a pencil.

We went here for dinner and Hannah served us and was so lovely! My daughter being 10 years old wanted a different burger from the one on the menu and the chef accommodated her so well. The food was lovely, the pasta was cooked al dente, the pizza was very good and not oily, the fish and chips were cooked well. I found Hannah very welcoming, took instructions so well and had a very good sense of humour. A 10 out of 10 in service! Well done! ️️️

Hubby and I had a long wait for a 2am ferry crossing so we went looking for a place to have dinner on a Thursday evening. This place looked as good as any. What a mistake. Overpriced food, tiny portions, and zero table service. We had to go up and order our own food and drinks, no water or cutlery brought to our table, and no engagement from any staff. Bloody poor for this type of restaurant. Won’t be back.

It was a standard dinner. I expected more quality and quantity. We waited a while for the meatboard and when it came out some of the meat and fries were cold. The Pork Pizza with sweet Thai chilli sauce was good. Overall it was ok.

Went for breakfast. Fast service and very nice food. Had the binn44 breakfast dairy free option. Excellent

Foods awesome beers cold only downfall was the server calling me bro its not really a gripe just wasnt really what i expected from a waterfront eatery
