Buddha Stix Wellington

Party of five tonight. It was my first time dining here and I loved it. The seafood pad Thai was do yum, with heaps of seafood. Portion sizes are not big but not small either. You leave satisfied. I would have no hesitations in dining again. Reasonably priced as well.

One of the better Thai restaurants in the Hutt Valley but the lighting is a bit too dark when eating in. There is also multiple very solid competition close by when it comes to Thai cuisine.

Really poor service. Not that staff weren't lovely to deal with, they were, but absolutely not enough staff for effective service. Our order was wrong, entrees weren't brought out with the mains as requested, and when we eventually got to order it was the only time wait staff attended our table (other than bringing food). It was very hard to flag a staff member down, and after asking for the dessert menu it took almost an hour before we gave up and left to buy dessert at pak n save.
The food was still good, but lacking something from our last visit 3 months ago (perhaps we were just grumpy about the lack of service).

Good Malaysian food with so much in offer, recommend the larb chicken salad, mussaman curry, and many others

Just went tonight group of 7 was extremely tasty dessert was very generous and every meal was very tasty. The wine wasn't what we ordered so we recieved a replacement complimentary.
Will definitely be coming back again and recommending to friends and family.

Food/drink is pretty good, a little pricey but nothing over the top.
Service could be improved - entrees didn't come out together so one person was left awkwardly not eating and then we had all long finished by the time their entree did eventually arrive.
Once mains came out we were never checked in on by a waiter again, noone checked if the food was OK, if we needed drinks etc. Over an hour passed from there and our table was never cleared, we weren't offered dessert so just paid and left.

The Wellington restaurant worthy of having five star rating. For this visit, we've order the sharing menu for dinner. We were five and opted for the no entree option. Despite the set menu, you can swap any mains with other mains (just asked the friendly staff). For this visit, we've tried the panang curry, seafood boat, prawn tom yum, pad Thai, and fried fish hot plate. It is hard to choose which one was my favorite. Everything was cooked perfectly. The seasoning was done in a way that complimented each dishes. You can taste and enjoy the actual flavors of each ingredients and tasted fresh. The place has a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Your website needs to be accurate if you're going to take online bookings. Don't allow someone to book online for a specific time and send them confirmation texts and emails just to call me 5 hours later saying your kitchen will be closed at the time of my booking. Cheers

The worst food I ever had in my life so far. What a terrible experience. I would highly recommend the owner of the restaurant to go and taste food in smile elephant Thai restaurant Petone their place may not be stylish or fine dining like yours but their food is 100% better than yours.paid premium price for the food which tasted like tin food from supermarket and pouch rice from uncle bens

We had a lovely time here with our friends. The wait staff are lovely and friendly and very accommodating. I had a slight issue with my drink and they changed it immediately. The food was outstanding. We all were so impressed and can’t wait to come back

Food was good but not the service. A smile can change the whole atmosphere

We understand the short of staff issue but just a smile can solve every problem, the way the lady at the counter made the face soon we entered 8pm than soon after being seated she came and said please order in 10 minutes as kitchen closing soon so we ordered everything and asked if we can order second round for drinks but she refused and made the face again

Amazing food.service was friendly, we had a large group, food came out all together and quickly!

Absolutely gorgeous place to eat with friends & family. No photos this time round, the satay stir-fry looked too good!

The staff were attentive, happy to work with us to bring out a birthday cake we'd brought for one of our party.

Can't wait to go back and try more.

Only gave 4s as it was quite hot, fan's maybe needed to be turned up a little more.
Nasi was a bit blander than normal. But otherwise the service was fantastic. Meals came out very quickly.

I can't understand all the good reviews coz the place was terrible. The chicken wings and ribs starters were so heavily deep fried they had turned into leather. And I could make a far better cashew stir fry from a packet at home. Staff were nice.

Excellent food, was able to accommodate us at last minute walk in. Staff where friendly and happy. Food was delicious and came out in a fantastic time. Highly recommend it was full and the managed everything perfectly. Merry Christmas

We were really disappointed with our visit to Buddha Stix.
Our drinks were warm, we had 3 different wait staff who weren't the best and the food was sub-par. The only shining light was the lamb shanks but frankly they aren't hard to cook. The drinks and food were overpriced and under seasoned.
Sorry to say but we won't be going back again.

After some good Thai food? This place offers really good food. We had a beef sizzling platter which was really good. The curry without coconut was not entirely to our taste but it was a good dish as well.

Went here for dinner on Saturday night 5/11/22. I highly recommend Budda Stix. Great food / reasonably priced. Helpful friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. I will be back

Tried to order takeaways the day before in person to ensure they'd be ready for dinner today and got turned away and told to order online today so chefs would receive order at start of their shift.

Ordered and paid online at lunchtime today, and got a call at 5 saying they'd just received the order and asking when we would like it ready.
Said 5: 20 since that's what the online system said we could expect to collect.

They said it's more likely to be 5: 45 or 6 because they didn't get the order on time.

Literally are they even checking for online orders?

Totally unapologetic too saying they never gave a time (even though their system did, and it was 5: 20).

Not ideal for kids who are used to dinner at 5: 30 that they can't organise themselves.
