Really very nice food truck (or rather food bus) in a field in the middle of nowhere.
The dishes are well prepared and the ladies who run the place are quite charming.

Gardens, birdsong, outdoor tables with/without sun umbrellas, gazebos/summerhouses, random shelters, delicious light meals. Lots of friendly happy clients but plenty of room, no crowding.

Rustic, nice and quiet on my rainy day visit. Artisan bread on Fridays. Dog water and hitch at back gate in shade:)

Great food and beautiful and fun setting. They seemed understaffed and it was rather a long wait for coffee and food

Second time to this quaint cafe. Funnily enough all three in our group ordered the same sandwich. Delicious ham and cheese toasted. My iced chocolate was incredible, great combination of cream and ice cream with a flourish of marsh mellows. Don't forget the doughnuts, the trip would be worth it just for these succulent morsels. How do they get so much cream inside them. Just amazing.
If there is one thing that we all enjoyed about the Bus Stop, is the casual atmosphere, how people just stroll in with their dogs (practicing social distancing and sign in rules). The layout of the seating areas gives everyone space and privacy. It is just a delightful surrounding.
Thanks ladies, will call again.
Well we did call again, this time Mothers day so the place was humming. We were warned there would be a wait but the times quoted weren't unreasonable. Gave us time to chat. My Cheese and ham crossaint was perfect, my wife didn't rave about the Reuben but she's fresh home from the States so it's to be expected. Once again this is a fun destination worth returning too.

I had their Reuben sandwich $15 - very tasty! Great atmosphere, lots of interesting, quirky spaces to sit in and explore. Dogs on lead welcome.

One of Kapiti's best kept secrets.you didn't hear it from me, but this is where you need to be. Go early as the kitchen does sell out.

Love this place, it is so rustic and quirky, the food is great and service friendly and very helpful. An old bus is the kitchen and servery. Seating is covered but outdoors so dress warm in winter. It gets busy so don't tell to many people or you will have to que to get on the bus!

Beautiful fresh food, delicious! Such a cute, eclectic mix of settings on the one site. Fabulous secret spot close to the beach surrounded by spectacular gardens and well established trees. Super friendly staff:)

Very quirky! Tucked away with varying seating options themed around the old bedford bus which is the kitchen

One of my favourite places. Venue is phenomenal and quaint. Good selection of items on the menu. Favourite is the mushroom and mozzarella on sour dough toasted. Dessert are stunning. Everything is fresh. Outside and inside seating. Bus where food is made is a great setup. Toilets easily accessed. Wheelchair accessible. Worth the trip.

Found this little gem on a bike ride. If it weren’t for our lovely local hostess, we’d never have found it. Gorgeous garden, ambience. Lots of lovely little nooks and crannies to sit. Dog friendly and his all round cool idea.

Only had a coffee but the food looked lovely but I recommend turning off to Te Horo for this place alone. Oh, they were also masked which made me feel safe! Excellent!

Wonderful, unique, eccentric, homely, and one-of-a-kind café. This is a must-visit and worth the journey down to the small residential beachside community of Te Horo Beach.

Relaxed outside eating café. Order and pay upfront in the bus. Leave your name and your order is brought by someone calling your name. You can also have your dogs watch you eat.
