Cafe Novella

Tuesday's at Novella are cinnamon scrolls day. These are probably the best cinnamon scrolls. In. The. World. We arrive early to get ours while they're still warm. The coffee and service are excellent too.

Stumbled across this cafe by chance after we followed a roadworks detour. A great atmosphere, staff were all very lovely. Food was great, loved the rosti's.

The owner certainly has an interesting take on customer service. Don't like what he's offered? Get yelled at and told you're a philistine who doesn't know food.
Basically a very angry man.

Delicious toasted sandwich and great coffee. Staff are lovely too. And not super noisy which makes it really relaxing as a place to meet a friend for a chat

I love this place!
Best bacon and egg sandwich I have had.
Don’t get me started on the pinwheels, they are delicious and come in a variety of flavours.
If you are in Kapiti or just traveling through this is a must!

As I only had the sweet chilly pinwheel can't comment on other foods but if it's like the pinwheel absolutely delishes. Inside and outside seating and dogs allowed on the outside areas

Sep2021: 8am catchup. Coffee was good.
L2 here with mandatory mask wearing into premises (read it as you want for cafes) required from all patrons. Unless exempt. While enjoying my coffee time here, I was annoyed to see 4 times 4 customers walk in without a mask, 2 holding masks in hand, order coffee, and talk to staff while waiting. How unfair for the staff. Conflicts arise here, they want to keep the clients who did not show excemption cards as customers. But, what about the rest of us, and there were afew.watching this. (Probably 6 elderly patrons wore masks)

June2021: early morning catchup with a friend and a really GOOD coffee.

Extremely clean back of house and kitchen, well done. The owners and staff are very attentive and down to earth. Recommended!

Great food and hot 'hot drinks' (which is not always the case in some cafes). Friendly and accommodating staff. Highly recommend.

Awsome staff here and great consistantly coffe. Not the cheapest place to eat but food is good.

Big breakfast and fish pie were both excellent. However it would have been nice to be offered some cream or yoghurt with the slice we had afterwards. It was a bit dry without.

I'm from out of town living in New Plymouth, on holiday we decided to go there for breakfast. Such a lovely place, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Food was brilliant i would definitely go there again Thanks.

Food is good. I recommend the quiche - light and tasty and comes with a very nice salad. Friendly, considerate service

This is a strategically located cafe. Sited between the council building and the library it provides a welcome stop for those doing council business and those using the popular library. The coffee is great and the range of food and price reasonable. Service is excellent.

Great coffee, great service. Perfect spot to read the book I just got from the library next door!

At the Cafe Novella the Staff are all wonderful, the service is excellent, & the food & coffee the very best. I would recommend this Cafe to anyone!
