Cafe Thyme reviews
54 Absolutely beautiful cafe.
Nice to sit outside and enjoy our breakfast.
Really lovely staff thoroughly recommend.
Hands down the best cafe in Wellington! To find good and consistent food is hard, but Thyme cafe definitely delivers! Everything on the menu is great, even the slices and cakes available at the counter. We try to go every weekend even though we live in Central Wellington, it's our go to place.
Cozy little coffee off Statehighway 1 shortly after Wellington. The coffee shares the same driveway than the plantshop. Has plenty of parking, Gluten-free options. Tasty food and coffee, friendly staff and fast service.
Certainly worth the detour and worth it, reasonable prices too.
Cheers
Had my first visit here recently, I'd heard the cafe and the food were great. The service is great, friendly and fast. The cafe was busy, not packed but bustling, people getting food promptly and the tables then turning over. The coffee is great and the menu was pretty diverse too. I went for the seafood laksa which was fantastic, not overly spicy so if you like it hot hot, you'd best ask. My mum had the kumara salad with chicken. Both of us loved it. Thanks guys we'll be back again soon!
Don't try laksa! Unless u like to have a super sour laksa The worst laksa I've had in Wellington.
Best eggs bene in the northern suburbs! Everyone there is so nice, food portions are great, coffee is great and service is great. Absolutely love going here:)
If you didn't know it was there you would miss it as it is sort of tucked away beside the garden center. My wife had been before with a local. Parking is a bit tight. They were busy even though we were before the main lunch rush. The food was very good, I had the soup of the day which came with a generous chunk of bread. My wife had pasta, an enormous serving that she couldn't finish. The only negative is that it is all hard surfaces with nothing to absorb the rising noise as the cafe filled up. I would go again.
Had the laksa today and it was amazing! Very friendly staff and a peaceful setting. Will be returning when I'm in the area.
Such a meaty menu - we are ways disappointed with the lack of vege options here. It feels abut like stepping back in time when ever we hopefully drop by here.
Amazing food and friendly staff:) been a regular for 9 nine years and never had a bad experience
Sitting adjacent to the local garden shop, Cafe Thyme has a nice and sheltered outdoor eating area, with a decent handful of indoor tables.
Good range of food and friendly staff make for a nice outing.
Lovely place to eat, nice nature and although close to a road, the road noise isn't particularly notable
Very good brunch. Staff is helpful and the food is amazing. Definitely coming back for it.
Only thing I didn't like was the iced chocolate. It does look good though, so maybe it's worth it for the pictures.
One of my favourite places for brunch which I've been going to for years, but family friend recently had an extremely terrible experience with her friends on their birthday here and I can't in good conscience go here without feeling terrible for implicitly supporting that. Unfortunately that has ruined any of the food I could order here. Otherwise, their Florentine is amazing. A real shame.
Warm and plenty of tables with power sockets. Coffee by the bowl is available. Limited range of pastries but all rather good. Wheelchair access. Outdoor seating if the weather is kind.
Brunch this morning was tasty. Pancakes were great. Place was packed which is always a good sign.
People recommended the Laksa online so thought I would make the effort to try. Sorry didn't like, too astringent, didn't like the poached egg included and tasted like a packet base and was almost inedible. I had three mouthfuls and left it. Tried most Laksas in Wellington but unfortunately this one didn't hit the spot. Didn't try anything else so can't comment there.
Quick Good customer service!
I had Eggs Benedict with Salmon (Hash browns2!) Superb!
Thanks
Highly recommend
Always great service and food is amazing. Prices have gone up recently due to inflation so can't really complain.
Good food and staff, but closes at 4pm. Has ample sheltered garden tables, and off- street parking.
