We have bought take away here several times and enjoyed the food.
This time the vegetable pakora was terrible, large pieces with overly thick chicken pea batter with no seasoning. Nearly every pakora piece was potato, just 2 pieces of cauliflower. Very substandard from this establishment.
The mains were, as usual, excellent. Chicken Tikka masala and Malabari prawn, both new choices for us.
Mains great, entree, terrible.

I loved the butter chicken and lamb korma. The best iv had for a very long time. Thanks for making my family happy with your amazing food!

Definitely best takeaway joint in Tawa. I love the palak paneer and the tandoori chicken is always a hit. We keep coming back here weekly, the food is super quick and consistently tasty, highly recommend.

This would have to be one of the dirtiest restaurants i have been to. The place needs a big clean up. The service was very good, they get 5 stars for that but then the food was just average, we came here because everyone online says its the best ever, i can tell you thats it not. The place stinks. Our clothes stunk of curry when we got home, i think they have no air extraction system in the kitchen as the roof is cover in black as if there was a fire inside… we wont be back even for takeaway

Only problem I ever have is that portions are so large I have never managed to finish and have to take left overs home, blessings for another night.

We usually go to the Hutt Valley for indian however we decided to try local. Excellent food we especially like the saag paneer. Kids love butter chicken we find it too sweet. Only thing I really can’t recommend is the biryanis as it was a fail. The remainder is excellent and we will be regular customers. I would advise order spicier then you’d like as this place is more on the mild.

I ordered a vegetarian curry last week, it was really tasty. Easy to order online & delivered on time.

Really delicious butter chicken, huge serving size for the onion bhaji. The garlic/cheese naan and aloo paratha were also delicious. Very quick and pleasant service too.

Best curry in Tawa, great portions of meat as well! Can’t go wrong with the cheese & garlic naan

Over the top covid restrictions mean you have to sit outside with no access to reception so you have no idea what's going on. Daughter booked DL on line but when showed up, they had no record. It's a bit of a strange setup but in sure they do a good job

After seeing & hearing about this shop we ordered x2 mild butter chicken. It was very hot & there was way too much tomato sauce. It was a heap of tomato sauce with lots of spice with bits of overcooked burnt chicken pieces

Main business seems to be takeaways but four of us ate in on last Sunday. The interior is rather dark but the service is good and the welcome is warm. Tried five dishes. Four were just superb. One of our party declared the paneer the best he has ever tasted (and he sure knows his paneer). Wonderful food. Great night out.

The Korma sauce is amazing.

The extra hot spice level is the same as hot.
Staff members sitting by the window staring down potential customers is a bad idea btw. Regularly see this happening around 6pm during the week

Generally don’t write reviews cuz I have ever had any serious issues with any Resturant. Well it’s a first time for everything.

Ordered tandoori chapatis, dal makhani and chicken jalfeeizi.

Today isn’t the first time we had ordered food from outside and from them it’s been our second interaction.
The first time the food wasn’t good however we ignored it thinking it might be one off case but today the food wasn’t good at all and the chapati were salty.too salty for even tandoori.the problem isn’t that the food was bad the problem is how they handled the entire episode and by saying to my wife ‘Kya bakwaas kar rahi hai yeh! ”.

my wife was nothing but polite but there is a way to handle an upset customer specially when it’s not their fault and this isn’t the way. I’m attaching the pictures of the food for references.

Tried this for the first time since moving to Tawa in Oct. Wish I had tried it sooner, the food was really good especially the Balti garlic chicken.

English Dhaba is my "go to" for curry. Although it looks unassuming from the outside with what appears to be a lack of diners, this restaurant has a steady stream of customers collecting takeaways. The female is always welcoming and super attentive when dining in. And always ensures we have a great dining experience. They have lunch specials of curry, rice and plain naan. Overall their food is delicious, the prices are value for money, the portion sizes and very good and I highly recommend dining here.

We come here every now and then as it's our local curry place and we always get friendly service. We tried the dhaba special today and it was really good.
