Frank Kitts Park reviews
32A lush, little park right on the Wellington Waterfront that hosts many events, including music festivals, because of its handy location to the city and harbour. It's a regular melting spot for buskers, strollers, joggers, families & tourists who enjoy the waterfront and its many amenities, including bars & eateries. The upper deck is often popular with tourists & viewers of firework displays because of its greater scenic & vantage views of the lagoon & harbour. There's even a wee slide to keep kids entertained if holding a family picnic on FKP.
Another playground that closes down under construction during early Dec, apparently it might reopen again in Feb, such a waste
Lies! Nonsense! My girlfriend and I went up to this slide as happy as happy kids, but we came back empty-handed! This fire slide is no more, we are very deprived.
This was great park a very long time ago, now it’s a great embarrassment to Wellington, our city council should hold their heads in shame what this park has become.
I sat on top of the seagull when I was 15, drunk and my so called mate spinning it round. Not fun
Can't comment on the overall park, but the play area is closed. There is a construction wall up, so I hope it is getting a remodel.
Inaugural Matariki Celebrations, Wellington. Fantastic whanau activities, music, food and fireworks
Great place to go close to shops also great walk round Oriental Bay. We had a great time and so did the kids.close to a needed Coffee also.
No playground, just Rubble.seemed strange starting this redevelopment during school holiday time when it could be used the most
They are having a make over for the park and the lighthouse is going. It is part of Wellington history I remember it as a child please let it stay
I'm responding to this as the Wellington downtown waterfront/wharf area. Fabulous on a sunny day!
Still a good time spot to hang out, with a nice view of the harbour.
Even nicer with some ice-cream from Kaffee Eis on a scorcher like tiday
Great time to spend in the park and relax, next to the Harbour, and close to nearby restaurants.
Passed through on a work covering various historical elements of Wellington. It is essential that this public amenity be preserved for use by Wellingtonians.
YOU TOOK DOWN THE SLIDE: (NOOOO.
All jokes aside cool park great grassy area to sit right next to it, only reason isn't 5 star is becuase you took down the slide smh. The slide was taken down because kids broke their legs on it apparently but I think is big conspiracy bro
Kids had fun at the playground and on the cars. Mum and dad had fun relaxing. Good place to just hangout on a sunny day.
Always a good place to take a break from work to go to sit in the sun by the waterfront. It's nice and sunny all the time.
Nice place, can get over crowded but it's a good place to sit when you have nothing else to do. Plus some times you get performances there.
Little playground on wellingtons waterfront nice as there are many cafes and restaurants around for just a coffee bite to eat or just a desert
