Japanese Thai Restaurant & Takeaway

Can't rate the food as none arrived. We waited 40 minutes then left. Seems takeaways were more important than actual people in the restaurant.

We went with a big group for a birthday lunch, the food is excellent with good variety, everyone enjoyed their meals and the price is very reasonable

Not suitable Vegetarian, staff don’t know how differentiate between vegan and vegetarian with non veg. Even veg dishes seems to be prepared with same non veg utensils.

I had high expectations from all the reviews I've read and from recommendations but sadly it was not at all what I read! The service was great, really attentive, friendly staff. The food was just average for the prices of their dishes, I think I could have gotten the same sort of food elsewhere and cheaper. The presentation of the meals was lovely.

Not a fun dining experience, our family was seated downstairs, upstairs was closed. It was awkward with the constant stream of various delivery drivers, the service was terrible, our waitress telling us we had not ordered things when everyone at the table heard it being ordered, and then getting huffy when requesting additional items, drinks etc. The food was questionable, have eaten here previously and standards have definitely slipped.

Absolutely love ordering from here and I know my family share in that view. The food is consistently good & the service is always warm & inviting. I have found that ever since covid and the increase in the cost of living, the standard of takeout food has dropped considerably. I understand the increase of cost but I will never understand why the standard of food has to fall. If anything it has really put me off eating out. It is becoming rare to find restaurants/ cafes that still make consistently good food! I highly recommend this restaurant! Keep up the great work!

Appearance is deceiving, been in porirua for years and years, so it's got to be good. Lovely food.

Visited with a group of 10 to celebrate a birthday.
Everyone enjoyed their meals, which were a majority Thai cuisine.
We visited early on an otherwise quiet night. A steady flow of Takeaway traffic flows through.

Always get great food and value for money. Great service. Eidth is worth her weight in gold.

Very cozy and clean. The owner is very friendly and she was very calm about our little boy who couldn't sit properly inside. The food was lovely and we will definitely go there again.

Green curry was amazing! But the sushi i got was absolutely yuck. Ended up eating one piece and threw it out. The rice was mushy and very soggy and half cooked and completely killed the dish. Had gotten delivery through deliver easy. But cant fault the curry and it was my first time trying it

My family had a takeaway meal from Japanese Thai tonight. Everyone in my fussy family enjoyed the different dishes ordered. (they are a tough crowd to please sometimes) The meals were fantastic value for money, laden with veges and meat. The customer service was very friendly. I highly recommend this place to others.

Ordered a PhD Thai. Very disappointing. Flavour was OK at best but it was basically just noodles. I counted 4 (maybe a 5th) tiny bit of chicken and that was about it. Not somewhere I will be rushing back to order from unfortunatel

Beautiful consistent food. Very clean and super efficient service. Best Thai for service, hygiene and cleanliness in Porirua.

Haven't been to the restaurant yet but we had dinner with friends and had take aways where the quality was excellent and great value for money

Awesome service! Clean restaurant and flavorful food - but the Param Chicken is extremely sweet! I suggest to get the sauce on the side.

First time I have eaten there and it was really good! Good size meal and lots of flavour, nice that they can cater for vegetarian too! Yum!

TLDR: room for improvement in restaurant.
Has a cafeteria vibe downstairs and in food presentation, noisy.
Clean and friendly, but waited 10 minutes and had to ask to get service. Quality of ingredients could be better.
Was looking for cheap and cheerful, not sure I got either.
