Jugnus Little India reviews
40Went for dinner on Valentines Day with my wife and totally enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The staff were polite, smartly dressed and quite communicative
Very overpriced with mediocre standard of food. Bara Kebab was the only tasty thjng! The goat curry was mostly cooked in tomato paste or something sour! Not really edible! The butter chicken was more like kurma. Pathetic quantity. Try Himalayan Kitchen, you will not ever order here again.
Myself and my partner enjoyed this place and recommend it if you’re in Paraparaumu beach. Good service and the food was very good too.
Was travelling for work, needed a place to eat. Stopped in here and wow, if not the best authentic Indian flavours you will ever eat. I had myself a lamb rogan josh, succulent, soft meat and divine flavour. I could’ve eaten 10 more plates in all honesty & wanted to lick that clean. The waiters very friendly, excellent restaurant and reasonably priced, highly recommended!
you won’t be disappointed. I will be back.
We really enjoy coming here, its our local Indian restaurant. The spices taste freshly prepared and food overall is great without any of that mass produced flavour often apparent in some Indian restaurants.
We often order a saag, with a jalfrezi and tandoori which are always a hit.
Pappadoms are really crisp and moreish, and we enjoy the litre of draught beer on the table (I wish this was more common).
The host is charming and helpful and the decor is appropriately colourful.
Its a small thing but I really like the dinner plates, they are an eclectic mix of patterns which suits the vibe. We’ll be back again soon.
The food is outstanding and the service is the best in Kapiti.
We have now been twice in one week because they deliver the food fast, with a smile and without loosing quailty.
Dont waste your time going anywhere else. A+
Food is incredible. The meat platter for 2 is one of the nicest things I've tasted in a long long time. Not the cheapest but worth every penny
Friendly greeting from staff and owner who ensured our comfort with cushions and window blind adjustments to suit. Most enjoyable evening with some older friends who can't abide much in the way of spicy hot Indian. Excellent flavour despite their low-heat requirements. A bit much echo from hard surfaces made conversation a bit challenging, but still look forward to going again.
Bought a takeaway curry nights a week ago, is was oily and not good at all. Rang and talked to the owner the next day and he was very concerned and insisted that they replace it. A couple of days later I rang and ordered the replacement. It was excellent. The spice was well balanced. I would definitely recommend them. They have become my go to Indian restaurant. Thanks for putting it right and winning a customer.
Awesome food with a nice atmosphere. Staff were friendly and everything is priced perfectly. Thanks so much, will be back!
Absolutely great one item was missed but the waitress was quick smart onto it.pleasant meal enjoyed so yummy! Thank you
Me and my family went here to celebrate a special occasion and we were all blown away with the service we received, and the food was delicious the manager there went out of his way to make our night really special and at the end they invited us to watch how the make naan bread. What a treat!
It was okay. Friendly service and nice area. Curry was around $25 each for chicken versions, so there are definitely cheaper places.
Worst part for me was getting the smallest amount of rice between 2 people I've ever received, and that it was $6.50 for more.
Love the foods. Its freshly served and their indian tea is the best. Will definetely going back.
December2022 what a lovely space. Been there a Yr, they have settled in nicely.
Food was flavoursome and fresh.
BYO. Wine. That does not include Cider.
We enjoyed there food very much
The owner was very professional the way He managed his staff and restaurant
I will be going back to try more authentic Indian food.
Goat Curry for me and Butter Chicken for my wife. Even with a near full house in the restaurant, the wait for our take out was only about 15 minutes
We live in India and dined at Jugnus in Paraparumu. The food was delicious, authentic, and was more than a taste of home. The tandoori rotis were tasty and soft, the vegetable dishes were delicately spiced and the chai was sublime. We met Jugnu who made us at home with true Indian hospitality. Will definitely be returning and referring to friends.
Can’t understand the positive reviews, staff were lovely, restaurant was ok but the food was extremely disappointing the curry was a bland greasy stew, would recommend you go elsewhere
Food was excellent but no GF dishes shown on menu - so management want you to pick a dish & then ask manager/waitress if the dish you have chosen is GF- if not I guess you have to choose another dish, then ask if that is GF? Be so much easier if they put GF next to the GF meals on the actual menu. It's not like GF is a new dietary requirement - get with the times.
