Kathmandu Petone

Which there was 10 stars to give Kathmandu. Went in today to see if my jacket could be repaired as it had 4 tears in it. The staff said it was unrepairable and as it was under warranty swapped it out for a new one. I was totally stunned and impressed with that kind of warranty and customer service.

Stock was fairly limited when we were looking for a particular item, this may well have been due to the time of the year.

Service was satisfactory. The items we were looking for were on safe so that was a bonus. As a loyalty member I also got a $10 post shopping voucher, so guess I will need to go shopping again to use it, first world problem.

A large and well-set-out store. As I walked in I was greeted by a friendly lady who I asked for assistance in within 30 seconds I had the item I asked for. It was my 1st visit to the store and I am very impressed with the team and the product I purchased. Thank you for making my day!

One of my fave outdoor stores!

I got so many items my family and I love here, starting from jackets, wind breakers, fleece, warm layers, flannels, sleeping bags, to tents and all the gears. We got our winter and summer gears & necesitties as well as tent and folded chairs here.

I love the designs, colors and materials they use. This store in Petone has a big collection of clearance sale and usually it has 20 % extra discounts.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, they also answer all of my questions regarding the products I need.

The store is big and spacious, with many spots for parking. The clearance items are on the second floor and I only see the stairs.

You can also grab a very good deal during clearance periods.

Kathmandu Petone has a great range of high quality outdoor clothes and equipment in a large shop. The items are well set out and displayed. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Clothes cost a bit more than at the standard retailer, but that's not unreasonable once you consider the quality of what you are purchasing. The items don't fall apart and have to be replaced as regularly as cheaper items from other retailers. So definitely worth checking it out.

Great selection of clearance items and store is well laid out so you can browse without being too close to others. Awesome helpful staff too.

My wife and I went there because we knew that Boxing sales were on. I needed a pair of hiking shoes. Something more robust than sneakers but not as clumpy as boots might be. The sales assistant was busy, as there were two other customers also buying shoes. After looking at three pairs and trying on two, with the able help from the assistant I was able to reach a decision and make a purchase of some new hiking shoes. The sales assistant was knowledgable and personable. All-in-all a good shopping experience.

My partner and I had a great experience shopping here for a motorcycle camping trip we are taking. We were helped by a young man named Jackson who was amazing! He helped us find everything we needed and gave us some great advice for the trip.

Dont like the pricing, needs to reflect actual price with discount etc, hard to find stock vs website

Big store with great range, and some decent deals to be found in the clearance section upstairs. Customer parking is also a great bonus.

This shop is quite large and caters for men women and children.
Wide selection of outdoor clothing although I feel it's more on the expensive side. The best time to go is sale time if your looking for a good deal as they mark the items down around 50 percent.

Clean store with a reasonable variety of goods for the outdoors. I typically only buy during sales as their goods at retail I do find expensive. Generally helpful staff

While there is a reasonable range of items of fair quality, this store is let down by its staff. It appeared to me that the two young sales staff were more interested in chatting to each other than helping customers. When we did manage to distract them and seek assistance, the female staff member behaved as though serving was a total inconvenience that was beneath her. Absolutely awful shopping experience. Will be the last time I enter that store when there are so many other on-line options.
