Kiwi Cafe Lower Hutt

I really love this place. The usual chatty woman at the front isn't here but the Indian guy is cheery, offering beer to the older women for a chuckle and its so nice & cool with cheerful music & chatting that is not too loud. Wide range of people. The food is not cheap but is good. We shared a big breakfast & it was great

Stopped in for brekky and tried out their version of a big breakfast. To say the least, it was definitely above average. The service was great and the atmosphere tends to be accommodated by many favoured locals.

Absolutely delicious food and outstanding service by the staff, this is the second day in a row coming and the food has been beyond excellent both times. The atmosphere is constantly buzzing, staff cheerful and welcoming.

Coffee was burnt and sour considering it was a mocha the chocolate could not hide it. The service was meh the server he had an airport in his ear chatting away to someone on phone. Yes servers should check on their customers but saying "are you ordering" no hello and nothing else is not welcoming or warm. Miss the ladies there who knew how to hold convo. They had a while till closing but started to pack up so we hurried and left.

We have been to Kiwi cafe a few times, food always has been good and good portions but we have never ordered bacon, cheese wedges before. So we did this time. When the wedges came out I was surprised to see how small portions it was. Like 1/2 packet of watties wedges with a few small pieces of bacon and a but of cheese or $22. Wish I had taken the photo.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this charming cafe, and it exceeded all my expectations! The coffee was top-notch, and the cheese scone was simply divine - a perfect pairing. The service was impeccable, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout my visit. The cozy and inviting atmosphere made it a delightful spot to sit and enjoy my treats. I also noticed that the cafe seems to be under new ownership, and the positive changes are evident. I highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a great cup of coffee and delicious treats in a warm and welcoming setting. I can't wait to return!

Beautiful food. Took our brother there for his 40th birthday breakfast. Abit sad all the food came out except one came very late, by the time it came my table had finished their meals so I took it takeaway.

I am blown away by the great taste of my Angus beef burger. The tasty fresh ingredients were excellent.
Good side of chips too made it very filling.
Would have been perfect if they had more textured meat patties that aren't so soft because they use binders such as flour or egg.
Solicitous service. No problems at all.

Recommend the spinach & feta roll, cheese scones, and the coffees are great.
Great setting to chill with a bunch of friends.

Just what we needed after a hard mountain bike ride. Food and coffee hit the spot. We sat outside.

The eggs Benedict was good but the Caesar salad was very average. The chicken used, is frozen chicken bites from the supermarket and the egg is fried and cut up into pieces. Definitely not worth $23.

Straight away we were greeted with a friendly welcome & given menus, great customer service. My partner and I both had the hash stack with eggs it was delicious everything on the plate was perfect & the sauce was so yum! The coffee was average but I think it was the coconut milk. The food also took a wee bit longer than expected to come out as there was only one other table of 3 in the cafe when we ordered but it was worth the wait. Despite this, we will be back for sure

Excellent friendly smiley service every time every customer, wonderful food (compliments to the chef!) quick service, awesome oat latte, wonderful caesar salad, yummy eggs bene, great music, great easy going atmosphere with Alcohol too yay! Id give more than 5 stars if I could!

First time trying this place and my gosh i cant wait to go back! I ordered a rib eyed steak panini, mince and cheese pie and a iced mocha and my goodness they were delicious. Im a mimced and cheese lover and i love a good pie with heap of cheese oozing out with every bite and this pie did the job! After trying a few bakeries in the hutt to find a pie like this i gave up until today! I usually go for a chicken and brie panini but the steak one was a hit for me! Very soft and juicy pieces of meat and not chewy at all! Flavours in that panini were amazing! And lastly the mocha. I always tend to grab and go at the mcds drive through for my iced coffees as i never come across one made so decent and yummy until i tried Kiwi cafe. 5 stars and highly recommend here. I will definitely be back to try out other items on their menu but most likely might just add in todays order as my regular. Great customer service as well. Very welcoming and friendly.

Absolutely loved our brunch. Saw the reviews and had to try it out and it did not disappoint.
Food and drinks were beautiful and affordable, and the service on point. Food came out quick and the waitress was friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Great vibe and we will be back

Just had my delivery easy breakfast, and had the Creamy Mushrooms. It was delicious, but it is way too over priced for what I got $33 spent on a messy little box of cheesy mushrooms.

Have been here twice and the service is amazing. Great food and coffee. Will definitely visit more especially because of the great service!
