Koi Masterton - Spice, Craft and Whisky reviews
49So expensive for average Indian food and service. It was the second time we dined here and we won’t be going back - both times disappointed. Curries were too sweet and chicken was overcooked. The price for what it is simply isn’t worth it!
A friend and I went for lunch. First time for me and the food was amazing
Definitely recommend
The best food in Masterton. The balance of flavours is perfect. Generous portions. I cannot fault the restaurant. 5 stars
Overall a good experience.
But the onion rings were a little bit over cooked.
Spinach and cheese naan and garlic naan was good.
Also spinach paneer da sag was good in taste.
Service was attentive.
Great selection on menu. Food is very good. Nice presentation and generous portions. Front of house woman was brilliant.
One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve ever been to! Amazing curries. And in Masterton. Who would have thought.
We loved our dinner at Koi, the ambience was perfect, the food was authentic (my husband is from India so that's saying a lot), well portioned, absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Koi has it all, delicious food, great service and a stunning venue, what more could you ask for!
Food was authentic, well portioned, delicious and reasonably priced.
Great food, Great service and a classy venue.
If you get the chance, definitely go!
Consistently good food, and a great atmosphere. The menu changes periodically but staples like the Hawkers Hunt are always there. If you are not sure what to get I recommend this dish as you get a great selection. The drinks menu is pretty good, particularly if you're fond of a whiskey. Fantastic attentive staff. One of the Wairarapa's best dining options.
Compliments to the chefs! I had an amazing Chicken tikka masala. It was absolutely delicious I devoured my whole order which included CTM w rice and garlic naan, chicken was cooked to perfection, so juicy and tender absolutely perfect would definitely recommend Koi! Looking forward to ordering again! Thank you for a perfect dish.
Great food, beef rending was amazing. Definitely be going back. Excellent selection on menu. Entree's were real good to
Amazing service and quality of food and cocktails. We will definately be coming back again. Indoor seating was full so we opted to dine out on the patio as it was not too cold. We didn't feel too disconnected from the restaurant with music piped through speakers and constant service. Most enjoyable.
Amazing restaurant. Great, unique choices on the menu. Neat set up. Very classy. The food was delicious and presented well. The service was good and we were attended well all the time. Constantly checked on. Prices reasonable for such a smart venue. Only 2 regrets: I should have come here sooner and that there was no coffee after our meal due to a broken coffee machine. I would definitely recommend it for someone wanting to celebrate any special occasion or just to create one by visiting here.
Go for the food but don’t expect any real cocktails. A place calling itself a whiskey bar should be able to make an Old Fashioned. Perhaps it was simply the bartender today, if so “bartender” isn’t really an apt description.
We are lucky to have this fine restaurant in Masterton. Food, staff, ambience excellent. For those not sure to order try the "Saag" my fav is chicken but there is lamb and vegetarian choices. Enjoy as I did.
Good food. Good customer service too. It would be better if they have more staff in the front though. When I had lunch, there were atleast 10 customers, with just one guy handling the customers and the till - he is a super star for sure ️ as he made everyone happy in his limit, but for the price I pay (it's an expensive menu) I don't appreciate going to counter every time asking for a spoon, more naan bread etc. (Not a reflection on the server, he has done an amazing job within his limits).
Went for a staff Christmas meal. The food was delicious and the decor delightful. I had a butter chicken and a sizzling Brownie - the butter chicken was delicious with tender chicken, the sizzling Brownie wasn't as good as it smelled and looked as the chocolate sauce got too hot/burned, I reckon a caramel sauce that turns toffee would be better.
Wonderful food,
We tryed a few dishes, steamed Momos, beef and coconut rice and a goat stu dish And they were all fantastic.perfectly cooked and spiced to suit.
Hand made food with care.if you love indian bread they make some of the best Roti and nan i have had in a while.
Fantastic service and it has a great atmosphere.
Thanks Koi.
I Cant wait to visit again.
Great ambiance and food choices are unique as it’s fusion food. Went for lunch but dinner menu has wider options. Very good vibe. Bit on the pricey side but worth it for special occasions. The food portions could have been bigger, but the quality n taste was really good.
Excellent place, great ambience, food and presentation is top of the class. For the first time, I heard my friend saying vegetarian dishes are very tasty there than the non-vegetarian. This is something rare to find in the Indian restaurants. I enjoyed to the last bit thoroughly and highly recommend. Staff is very welcoming and accomdating too there.
