Leeds Street Bakery reviews
53 Coffee was great. Had the salted caramel cookie and cinnamon scroll which were delicious!
Would highly recommend
Since taking over Leeds Street Bakery the people at Shelly Bay have expanded the indoor space so you now have dine in spots, which is brilliant. Great range of cabinet food and they have kept the iconic salted caramel cookie that made Leed St famous.
Staff were so lovely. A girl by the name of Jacinda had the most lovliest smile and happy attitude. Such a treat
Delicious pastry! I had almond and hot pie with leek, potatoes and truffles! Everything look super delicious. I wish to visit it again, but had only one day in Wellington.
The lamb sausage roll is to die for. It's much bigger than it looks so be prepared!
The almond chocolate croissant is a specially as well
Excellent customer service. I got a sourdough loaf that was undercooked and they refunded it and replaced it with a fully baked loaf! Good croissants too.
Decent bakery in the city, I'd say their Chocolate Almond Croissant should be more famous than the Salted Caramel Cookie.
Like the other customer below, very overpriced. Paid $7 for 1 singular slice of peanut butter on toast. Only giving 2 stars as the bread was nice. For that price you need to be providing minimum 2 slices
The food is great but atmosphere is not. Staff seem to run it to their own preferences rather than what would be nice for customers. I wouldn't recommend if you want to sit in somewhere.
Horrifically overpriced.
Ordered a sandwich for aprox $14, was presented with this sad excuse in the photo below.
Flavour was great (why it got two stars) but cannot get past the Daylight robbery.
This cafe is amazing shared the salted caramel cookie with my mom and the next day we went back to share another the staff is awesome too!
My favourite Wellington bakers, sorry Cloche. Bread is good, if expensive, pies too, but the cookies and cheesecake are magical!
By far, the best lamb sausages and choc almond croissant I have eaten in my life! Their croissants are buttery n super yummy! The salted caramel cookie and scones are overrated though. But their food is perfection!
The chocolate almond croissants are insanely good! Coming back again soon and will provide photos. Keen to try their toasties too
Tasty cheese scones, avo and PB toast and coffee. We were served a very average croissant though - more like a brioche bun.
Absolute rip off! I ordered some hot cross buns from here at a hefty price. What I received bore no relationship to the Easter buns pictured on the website and were the cheapest most awful hot cross buns ever. Disgusting and I will never buy here again,
The smell of freshly baked bread is all I need to keep coming back. But then they put up a plate for the Watas - Wellington Avocado and Toast Awards and wow what an incredible dish. It was a whole avo served on freshly baked bread and goats cheese, a beautiful nutty light oil and perfectly seasoned. A simple and elegant dish with so much flavour with only three elements on the plate it truly sings, great value at $17 and well worth it. Two days later and I'm still dreaming about my next visit for their answer to avo on toast.
Best croissant I have ever tasted it was flakey buttery the folds tells it all it was crazy delicious makes me wana cry we also tried the salted caramel cookie and yes amazing the coffee was also really good it breaks my heart we don't have this kind of level in Auckland I can't really get over it and regret that we should've ate more and just stayed there till they close as we came back the next day they were closed worth coming back
It's a nice, cute small coffee shop. We found this due to Wellington Advent Calendar. The sizes of the cookies are quiet huge and their pies are really yum too. We tried the potatoes and leek pie.
You get coffee served in a takeaway cup, which was a bit disappointing for me because I prefer to drink my cuppa from a coffee cup, but again the focus is onsite bakery.
