Little India / Curryleaf Upper hutt

We haven't been to this restaurant for years since it was Little India but thought we'd give Curry Leaf a try after our usual changed hands and the food there is not very nice. So glad we did! The food is delicious and the service top notch. Have since been back a couple of times and it was just as good. I hope others give this place a go as we would highly recommend it!

Best south indian food i have had in Wellington with Kerala and Tamil Nadu food.

The parottas are freshly made daily and they are yummy with the Non Veg Platter and Mutton Chettinad Curry.

The people were so kind and they prepared food even in their break time. They served food quickly even after an unexpected big group cane in to order a lot.

Madras and chettinad curries are a must try with kerala parota. The non veg platter was medium spicy and they also have a kids menu.

Mix platter, butter chicken, bhuna chicken, aloo gohbi, chicken kahdi, mango chutney and various naan/roti. All beautifully flavourfull. Good selection of wine. Strongly recommend and look forward to going back. Plenty of vegetarian options if you're that way inclined too.

Had the Butter Chicken. It was lovely. Nice friendly staff.
Was quiet, as it was a Sunday, but definitely give it a go.

Yumm.best Rogan Josh ever had.had the medium spice, which was perfectly delish. Also can recommend Butter Chicken and garlic naan bread. Soo good.

A cut above most restaurants. Lovely setting. Very fair pricing. Well cooked. Scrumptious flavours. Smiling chef and good attentive waitress.

New ownership and much improved since it was the Little India franchise. It's now up there with Ammu. 4/5 stars.

The owner always remembers us by name, even on a telephone call when ordering take-aways. He recognizes our voices and always greets us warmly when we eat in. Food and service is amazing. Highly recommend!

Ordered the $30 tandoori platter for two via deliver easy app, was very disappointed to find the portion size was fit for a child and not two adults, the flavour on the other hand was absolutely out of this world delicious 10/10

Fast, friendly service, the warm hand towels an absolute treat.
Food was awesome with the atmosphere to match.

Every dish was full of flavor! Highly recommended you go try it out! Scooping up the goodness with the Naan bread yum.

Would not waste your time going here. Unsure how the reviews are so good. The front of house guy with a man bun was so rude, got into a argument with him because he said I got a curry I didn't even order. The curry itself was so bland. Much better curry houses locally!

Food was bellow average, found large clumps of powdered spice which was unmixed. The Naan was dry and lacked flavour similar to both the butter chicken and chili chicken. If you plan on throwing $66 dollar's in the bin and then throwing a match in that bin I would recommend Addas.

What an scrumptious lunch everything was just so yummy and the staff were amazing I share this to encourage others to seek the yummiest curry we've had in Upper Hutt in a long time cheers guy's. -

Fantastic service, fantastic food, the owner recognised us from our last visit, which made us feel like valued customers. Gave us a free dessert for our anniversary- and for being loyal customers. Highly recommend.
