Little India reviews
59Amazing selection of delicious food for myself as a gluten free meat eater and vegan hubby. Vegan menus as standard on the tables, with a huge range of options in every category. Great list of 'something different' in the street food section, but the usual suspect chicken tikka masala was amazing. Staff were so great, really friendly and exceptional service. Open kitchen so can see how clean and professionally run it is. Thanks so much for the great meal! A+
We're visiting Wellington with our German exchange student and tonight she tried Indian for the first time and loved it. We had a wonderful experience at Jugna's from before we even walked in the door. The services was second to none and the food was amazing. We all tried something new and were every happy. We highly recommend Jugnu's Little India to anyone looking for yummy food in Cuba Street!
Perfect service and tasty food. We all like it and the atmosphere is suitable for family gatherings.
Highly recommend!
Excellent service and a variety of delicious vegan options. I was so happy to find somewhere that does vegan garlic naan! Looking forward to visiting here again when I’m next in Wellington
They serve delicious food
But their goat curry had a lot of bones which made it difficult to enjoy from the meal.
Best service i’ve ever received! The lady working the front was amazing so helpful and kind.great food great vibe 10/10
I have dined here a few times and I'm always made to feel like your stepping into a family home, staff are very friendly and they make you feel like a king. Food is delicious and a decent portion, Nella is a lovely manager and is always very inviting.
Thank you little india
Great food. Such humble & welcoming service by the Manager (Mr. Sartaj Singh).
I wish this place more success and Countless customers.
I am giving Cuba street's Jungu's Little Indian 1 star simply because I booked a table for Friday night 6pm, turned up and the were closed. I had been so looking forward to my dinner. They should take the booking system down.
Quite a huge chunk of the dishes mentioned in the menu were not available. Very few options to choose from. Service and taste was good.
We started with the street food. A dish we’d not heard of before, pani puri. Little dough parcels into which you poured this peppery, spiced liquid served in shot glasses. Delicious.
This was followed by the much-mentioned goat curry on the bone! And the also mentioned butter chicken (both shown). Bloody brilliant. I think this must be the best curry shop in Wellington. But I’m no expert. I recommend you try for yourself.
Awesome place, right in the heart of Cuba street. Paramjeet makes guest feel at home. Terrific food and lovely portion size.
Not worth to waste money if you are not dying of hunger and no other options to eat. Tasteless food does not come with curd, pickle and butter. Size of parantha and samosa hahaha very small. Not worth to visit. Mr. Jugnu needs to review menu, Toilet sliding doors that came off while opening and hanging wires on the roof.
Beyond amazing! Overall the restaurant has a very good vibe. Spacious, minimalistic and classy decor. Finally found authentic Indian style momos in NZ! I’ve been to so many restaurants and have always been disappointed. Everything we ordered was perfect and not too greasy as is the case with a lot of Indian places. The staff was also very professional and happy to assist. Would definitely recommend to any and everyone in Wellington:)
Love this place!
Excellent for a vegan meal, they have a whole separate vegan menu and everything I've sampled has been superb. Highly recommend!
Very nice food but slow service.
Would eat there again but not a third time if the service was that slow.
Had a lovely meal. Friendly service and even though I was quite early in the evening a really nice atmosphere. Will be back to explore more of the menu.
Pros: Friendly staff, tasty food.
Cons: Expensive, small portion sizes
Final thoughts: I wouldn't return, especially not if I'm hungry. Good for an expensive snack though.
Came in randomly with the kids after a day in town.
The vegan menu is huge and everything on it looks so tasty it's hard to choose.
The service was fast and pleasant (our waitress even recommended vegan wines without us asking).
When I ordered a Butter Chicken for my 2 kids they brought only 1, knowing that 2 would be way too much for them to finish. Really really appreciated this.
The food was excellent.
100% would come back and recommend.
Friendly service and amazing food. The biryani is my favourite, it is well spiced and always cooked to perfection.
