Long Xiang Chinese Restaurant

Service was really good and people are friendly. The dumplings not bad but the noodles I had were really average, they were a bit pricey too. Fried pork dumplings are pictured.

Been here twice now, food is very nice and not overpriced. Calming atmosphere and soothing traditional music. Service was very friendly and they even gave us some free mini dessert after. Highly recommend!

Mum and pop restaurant. It's been here for 20 yrs plus. Charles (chef) will cook you anything off the menu if you ask him or you have a food allergy. Cantonese dishes mainly - flexible to taste. First rate hospitality by wife Yvonne. Give it a go. It just might grow on you.

Always have a beautiful meal every time my partner and I visit. The owners are gorgeous and provide amazing service. Food is always fresh, hot and delicious! Best Chinese in Wellington the venue is BYO too which is great for booking functions and birthdays.

Good food but unfortunately poor service and amount of food. Over an hour to get entrees out and the restaurant was less than half full, for a table of 9 paying $38 each we got 6 plates of food the 2 hours we were there.

Food took over 90 minutes to get to out table and when it did arrive there wasn't much.
9 person banquet, we got two spring rolls and had to share 4 plates. Food was nice but we were left very hungry.
$40 a head, you would expect a bit more food.
Not happy a all.
Would give it no stars if I could.

Best bit was the hot and sour soup. Smaller size servings that we are used to but nice food

You get lovely old fashioned service. They treat you like family. The food is excellent and very well priced. For 4 of us it was $125 and we were very full. The evening was ended with a complimentary piece of cake each.

If you're looking for a great decor and ambience this isn't the place.
But if you're looking for great service and even better food, this is one of the best you'll find!
Run by a delightful Chinese couple, she front of house, and he in the kitchen, the food here is first class and reasonably priced.
So 5 stars for food and service, only let down by average, but very clean, decor and ambience.

Literally one of the best Chinese restaurants in Wellington. Service is great and friendly. Sweet and sour chicken is a must along with the dumplings.

This is the best BYO place in Wellington by a mile. Nothing compares to the food, the service, and the hospitality of Mrs Long Xiang. I've been here at least 10 times and will keep coming back until the end of time. Love you Auntie Long Xiang, from Dan the Man <3

Good place in Wellington CBD for Chinese (Southern style cuisine) food. Excellent service from the lovely couple. The lady gave me some soup that wasn't listed on their menu. The pork dish was good as per my taste (I asked her not to make it spicy). She even offered me a complimentary banana cake.

Authentic Cantonese food. Good taste, great price, especially for lunch menu. Owners are very nice couple. We enjoyed lots of meaningful chats together. Respect. Fried chicken is really good.

Lovely crisp freshly prepared sweet & sour pork. Fantastic hospitality, warm and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Some of the best Chinese food in Wellington. Yvonne and George are so lovely. Food is well priced and it's BYO. Definitely recommend
