Stylish restaurant on Cuba St in Welly. Great tasting food at a reasonable price too. 10/10 reccomend.

Downgrading my 5 star to 1 stars on account of new owner tomfoolery.

The new @lorettaoncuba breakfast menu.

Why? !? Why do new owners you fix what ain’t broke

No scones. No cheese scones. No sales for you.

Before you come back at me with “ideas or give it a chance”…. No. Two people at the table next to me just asked for scones, got the news and walked out.

This might be the worst breakfast menu upgrade / downgrade I’ve seen in a long time. Enough to motivate me take to Instagram after years of not bothering

UPDATE: you can still find scones and poached eggs across the at Olive…

I popped into Loretta to check if they had resolved the broken menu. Nope. It was like a ghost town in there - all the old regulars I’d been seeing for years were also not there.

Sad my half decade routine with my chums has killed by amateurs.

My sister recommended this place and I was excited to try the menu with my girlfriend. Came here on 29th of October 2021 at 6pm, we started with the potato flat bread and I thought it was very nice and said to myself that is a good start until we get to the mains and ordered a steak. Definitely a thumbs down. Steak came burnt way over well done and bitter and the salad is not edible its got too much anchovies which makes it very salty and bitter.also if I may add the peach tea was bland. I'm not the type of guy to complaint just to get a discount so I went to pay for the meal and was not even asked how my meal was. I then said I just wanted to let you know that the steak meal was not great.then after I told the staff the problem, the response I received
was just "okay. " and that to me says a lot about their service. This is the last day of our 2 week vacation and the first time I've had a bad meal and service definitely not going back to this place

Go to the flying burrito brothers instead they have good desert lol.

Disappointing coffee; pasta was overcooked and too oily. Food did not match up to the high prices. Decor and service are good. Lots of vegan options

Noooooo! Your pizzas suddenly went from THE BEST to just average. Fundamentally not the same. (What happened? !) Service still impeccable, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Enjoyed the most delicious crumpets, serville orange curd and coconut yogurt for breakfast. The food was sensational, and the flavours mouth watering. Fantastic attentive staff and just such a lovely atmoshphere. Can not wait to go back again. And the coffee was AMAZING.

On the more expensive side, but it was worth it for a great coffee, food and friendly service!
Seemed to have been run very well and the place is huge!

Went a few weeks ago. Has a very rude owner. Overheard him being VERY aggressive to a young staff member who I presume was new staff. She looked terrified. Poor girl.

Simply delicious. Lots of Gf available. We ordered the beef and the outstanding pork which came with a huge tasty salad. Would highly recommend.

I got the smoked salmon with capers and watercress, horseradish cream and seed bread with a side of avo.
Its hard for me to go wrong with salmon. It was the perfect amount and the seed bread was delish, though would not have been quite the same without the addition of avo.

All in all a very satisfying experience and will hopefully return soon!

Really enjoyed ourselves here. Shared a pizza with my daughter - 3 big bits each.delicious.and then shared a piece of Basque cheesecake- also really tasty. Nice environment, but even better was the service we got - fantastic. Water constantly topped up and friendly waitress and team in general.

Meh. To be honest I was underwhelmed.
The staff didn't have a lot of personality, or care, and the food took 2 hours from when we ordered.

It arrived Luke warm - like it had sat for a while before someone decided to bring it to us.
It was tasty though. We shared our 3 mains between us, and the Pork was a stand out.

I'd go back probably, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

The risotto here was over salted. Tasted like eating a bag of herb salt. The same can be said of the pasta ragu. The ‘Croque Monsieur’ bread to filling ratio was way off - the dense and doughy bread was not well supplemented by such a meagre slice of cheese and filling. The drinks were fine tho. <3

Food was disappointing, we had potato pizza which looked wonderful when it arrived but was pretty tasteless. The base was very thin and was more like a flatbread, the only thing we could taste was the cheese out of all the ingredients. The price was quite expensive at $28 just for the pizza which in my opinion was not worth it.
The service was good with friendly waiting staff.

Loretta has great service, the staff were exceptional. I was, however, disappointed with my meal. It was very very salty and I couldn't eat most of it.

Loretta has such a nice atmosphere. I love their bircher muesli & the food is always well presented. The addition of produce to buy is a nice touch too. & great coffee to boot!

The menu possibly changes every day. Interesting but good combinations.

The staff are knowledgeable about the ingredients if you have allergies (or know who to ask). I had to ask for no garlic so it's important they understand it hides in everything.

If I could give Loretta's 6 stars I would! My partner and I just ate here for dinner, and MY GOODNESS, the pizzas are entirely out of this world! They are so delicious that I was speechless, which is difficult for me as an extrovert Leo. The service is great, staff are amazing, and the atmosphere is romantic yet chic. Loretta, thank you for one of the best meals of my entire life. Xoxo

Waited at the front of the line at entrance for a table or even acknowledgement we were there. Group.behind us pushed in front when matri de approached us she let the person who pushed ahead engage her and served him ahead of us, her reason after waiting for an extra 10mins and being ignored was he had a booking.never checked if we had a booking, never spoke to us.absolutely shocking service even people behind us in the line were gobsmacked.epitome of rudeness will never eat there again
