Maranui Surf Life Saving Club

We turned up on a busy Saturday and they were able to accommodate us with a great window seat view. They forgot us at first, and they ended up giving our food order to the wrong table. But they more than made up for it! We got apologies from various staff, we were provided free drinks, and the meal was delicious! One staff even went and pulled a plastic kids toy we saw on the beach and pointed out, just for their planet consciousness! 5 stars team, you owned your mistake and went above and beyond

A very cool/retro cafe with a great atmosphere, and an amazing view. It is very popular, there was a ~5-10min queue for lunch up a stairway, a 15min wait to be seated and a 30 min wait for food. The food was delicious and staff service was excellent (and the narrow space crab walk entertaining)

A great place for coffee and something to eat. Wonderful vibe with seaside views. The food and coffee are good.

Busy and a happening place. Long queues going right on the road. Inside every table was taken and every staff member was totally engaged serving happy customers.
Loved the views, the coffees and the ambience. Ordered cabinet food as kitchen orders had a 45 minute wait.
Everything was pretty good considering the place was exceptionally busy.

Fabulous service, food and atmosphere. We will be back the next time we fly up to Wellington.

Brilliant place has a fantastic vibe, the views are wonderful and the food is delicious, what more could you want.

We lived nearby when this place opened. We live in Taranaki now but head to Maranui when we're in the Capital - says it all!

Coffee milkshake incredible, good coffees, great breakfast options, good service. Best ocean views, for a Wellington challenge, try to be seated out on the deck outside to eat

Looking a bit tired including the menu. It just seemed like the whole place needed a cleanup and revamp.

This is my absolute favourite cafe to have brunch at when visiting Wellington! The food is so delicious and very generous. Lovely bustling, yet relaxed, atmosphere and a beautiful view of the water - if you’re lunch you might get to see dolphins.

Busy buzzing place, with great views.
I found it very noisy though, we were yelling to each other to make ourselves heard. Maybe I'm getting old. I just found it too noisy, it was not enjoyable. But let me tell you about the food.oh it was absolutely delicious, a great menu, as well as beautiful cabinet food.a great selection of salads. Thanks

What a choice as rustic spot for building connections and workshoping big questions. Hosted by Antonia, Gillian, and Tereska of Change Makers fame, in a warmly challenging change space, with awesome kai and kawhe close by has been just the recharge I didn't know I needed.

Like many others, great place to go for lunch, location is second to none, food is glorious kiwiana, service is friendly but not overbearing. Nice vibe for young and old.
