23Absolute waste of money. If you wanna eat potatoes and green peas at price of over $25 then definitely it's place to go. Unfriendly staff, congested tables and chairs. Definitely not a place to go.
AMAZING food from incredible chef who has an amazing ability to create wholesome, delicious, flavoursome food that leave you coming back for more.
Not sure if we come at a wrong time, around Saturday 12pm, we are the only clients but waiting for 30 mins only served us an entree not even the drink.
The food was amazing, hadn't tried anything like it, and portions are generous. No alcohol though.
Highly recommend to everyone who loves Moroccan cuisine. I ordered lamb tagine and it was absolutely delicious! Lamb was so soft and had lots of meat. Great service although maybe waiters should pay attention more to their guests. We couldn’t wait for them to come and ask us about our order, and we came up to them by ourselves.
This was our first time into this restaurant and it was a pleasant one. The service was great and the staff is very friendly. The place is clean and cozy. We were 4 adults and 2 kids, and ordered a variety of items (some pictures are attached) on the menu, including Entrees (Hummus, Laadissa, and Zaalouk), Mains (Lamb tagine, Chicken kebab, and Vegetarian tagine), Kids' menu (Chicken nuggets), Dessert (Baghrir), and Drinks (Morocco coffee, and Mint tea). The food was delicious and authentic. However, the rice portion was not much enough (which we hoped it is a bit more), and there was some inconsistency between the orders (some elements, e.g, carrot and potato, were completely missing from one of the three lamb tagines whereas one of them had way more).
Please update yr website. We went there. Website says their open. But closed and wont answer the phone
Always excellent food for a reasonable price in nice surroundings.
Also a few things from Morocco.
I bought 2 beautiful tea glasses
Charming location, friendly staff, great prices, talented Chef. Delicious and full of amazing spices from the Middle East. After our appetizers with the spicy chickpeas and roast eggplant we enjoyed the lentil soup with the wonderfull lemon oil drizzle and the vegetarian Tagine was so nice. The Morroccan coffee was perfect. Thank you!
Very tasty food, service is nice too. Tip: if they don't answer the phone, that means they are busy and can't be bothered to answer. Saw two ppl turning back because they couldn't cater for them.
Food was made to perfection and the Arabic style tea to top it off did the magic very friendly service too!
Best Moroccan cuisine you may ever have in New Zealand. The taste of food and the atmosphere of the restaurant will take you literally to Morocco. I just loved it, and highly recommended. Plus, it’s halal.
Excellent fresh food, we love it! The chef's special tajine was soooo tasty and the lamb in the kebab was so juicy!
Friendly staff, authentic yummy as food i always visit each time i come to wellington, dont miss the great food taste, highly recommended
Awesome Flavour, great traditional marocan cuisine, friendly staff, great ambiance, look like you are in morocco but in Wellington highly recomand
This place was incredible! It’s that authentic that it took me back to when I was in morocco back in 2017. Glad I came across this gem, since we can’t physically fly to Marrakesh these days eating here is the next best thing. Thoughtfully hand crafted hearty meals take your tastebuds on a intercontinental journey. Would definitely come back when in welly next.
Marrakech is my go to restaurant in that side of Wellington.
Superb food, super friendly staff and great customer service.
Very welcoming, it does make me feel that I'm on my travels. I like the ambience music, decoration and on sunny days it's a delight to eat outside.
Thanks Abdul and all the staff, I'll see you soon
The restaurant closing time was 9 pm but they close the place for dine-in at 8: 30 pm as that is when the kitchen closes. A confusing statement
We decided to try this Moroccan restaurant as a group of 4 but we were greatly disappointed due to a number of issues. The restauant is freezing cold so you must wear coat inside. Our meal that should have taken 45 minutes took well over 2 hours due to slow service. We asked for water, which never came. We ordered dessert which never came. I ordered a dish, however they were out of it. The portions are fairly small and expensive. I ordered a drink but it came flat. The service was some of the worst service I have ever had. Unfortunately we won't be returning.
The quality of food was good but there was not enough salt in all food we ordered. Considering that, the food gets average score.
The service was below average, we asked for water but the waiter did not bring us water. We also ordered baklava and waited for half an hour but they didn’t bring anything so we just left without having desert!
Altogether, it was a below average experience.
