Fist off, the food was lovely, definitely the best curry in the Wellington area. I came in last night and was served by a lovely gentlemen who was so polite and helpful especially with my grandma who struggled on what to get. He was so calm and patient which made it a fantastic experience. 5/5 would highly recommend

My masala lounge experience was out of this world.as i walked through the door a beautiful young waiter greeted me and helped me take my jacket off.he then took my order while rubbing my back, making me feel welcomed and safe.whoever this waiter is. HE NEEDS A RAISE!

Great tasting food! Generous portions and amazing service by the owners! What else do you want!?
Love my goat curries, and it has always been consistent. Must try if you haven't yet!

Lovely food, the chef really knows how to make the best indian food in the wellington region. Tandoori chicken had an amazing flavour to it, and food arrived at a very reasonable time. Amazing service and incredible fresh authentic food. Would definetly give masala lounge a 5/5, favourite restaurant in wellington

Every time I try a new restaurant. I love sharing my opinion. "Masala Lounge Restaurent". Extraordinary, amazing, experience. It was warm and friendly welcome with fantastic customer service. Always great, tasty, yummy and delicious food served piping hot- just the way we like it. Would definitely recommend. We have been many times and it has consistently exceeded our expectations. “

Ordered butter chicken, mango chicken, broccoli lamb with garlic cheese Naan and extra rice and it was PHENOMENAL! OMG so fresh and beautiful money so well spent it took an hour from ordering to arriving but OMG so worth the wait. We will DEFINITELY go there again next time we might dine in! Thankyou to the team at Masala for providing a gorgeous meal on a Monday night!

Excellent Dinner Special here with Butter Chicken. We love it, even if we do it as a take-away.
(Update 2021-04-09: quality has changed recently, causing rather disturbing results in our family. We have chosen to go somewhere else for now.)

Had an amazing meal here, out for dinner and thought we would give it a try, not disappointed, in fact we went back the next night with the kids to try some different things, great service and great flavours.

Super rude because they choose to be rude.
Masala lounge is truly terrible.
Would never recommend!
Food is overpriced and very basic, always needing to wait near to an hour for your food! Need to work on their customer service!

Not recommended 3/10. No taste and no food quality. Shef does not feel ashamed at all cooking and serving old vegetables.

Just ordered from Masala Lounge for the first time. (Via Deliver Easy.) Ordered a Chicken Korma + Garlic Naan.

The Korma was totally delicious. The best Korma I have had I reckon. The balance between creaminess and spiciness was perfect. The spices were infused through the chicken

The chicken was very tender, well spiced and the number of pieces was generous too.

I would rate Masala Lounge 5/5 but the garlic naan was a little too doughy for my taste.

Still, I highly recommend Masala Lounge if you are looking at Indian food in Porirua.

Dont go an hour before closing they will not let you dine in because they are "closing soon"? Told us he couldn't be bothered to reset the table after we eat so could only do take away

We had the lunch special at $13 each i had the mild butter chicken with rice and naan whilst my partner had a lamb cury with rice and naan bread. Very warm and welcoming and even greeting me with "kia ora" which as a native maori i appreciated. The food was excellent and more than enough for the price. Free chilled water was also provided. We will definitely be back for more!

The food was fine, what wasn't fine was the fact that we went in there two $17 specials with a free naan bread each, but when she showed us how small that was it became apparent that it wouldn't have satisfied a mouse so we orderd the large and it came to $57 and no free naan. There were only two tables occupied in the restaurant so they were in no way busy but despite that we still waited 45 minutes for our takeaway while a bloke who was there when we arrived waited over an hour, dispicable poor service, over priced and obviously the chef can not multi task clearly cooking one meal at a time, obviously here as a result of John Keys immigration rort between 2008 and 2017
