Michael Hill Lambton Quay (Temporarily Closed)

My partner and I had been to Michael Hill on Lambton Quay but we didn’t like how pushy one of the ladies was so we only went to the manners street MH.
However, the Manners St MH didn’t have stock for an engagement ring I was wanting to try on so we had no choice but to go into the Lambton Quay store last Sunday. When we arrived, the store was very busy so there was a short wait but all the retail staff were very apologetic and kept coming back to check on us, which I really appreciated.
Chris was our sales person and he exceeded our expectations with his customer service - he was not pushy (even said we could come back another day to pay as my card had a limit), very understanding and attentive, personable with a great sense of humour, great communication, and overall you can just feel how genuine he is with his advice and comments. My partner and I went in to just browse as I already have an engagement ring but we ended up buying the ring as we were so impressed with both the ring and the customer service.
This guy needs a pay rise!

Handed my ring in to get a diamond replacement and dealt with the manager Ciaràn Healy. What an amazing human being he is. Couldn't have been nicer or more efficient. If you ever visit Michael Hill make sure you visit the Lambton Quay store. Wage rise please!

Just had a horrible experience partner and I were just wanting to have a look at a few engagement rings to figure out what I would be interested in after telling her we just wanted to have a look I tried one on to kinda get a size and she instantly showed me expensive ones took my passport and started pricing up when that’s not at all what we wanted. We both Started feeling like we were trapped and not allowed to leave, never felt like that before and never want to feel that way again. Made a complaint on the Michael hill website. I seriously hope she gets a talking too!

We needed a bit of extra patience & assistance & the staff were super kind. Couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.

A Michael Hill watch was repaired with inferior parts. It failed again. MH offered to reimburse Watch value which was agreed. They found out the Watch value from their system. They subsequently deposited only a fraction of the Watch value into my bank and reneged on honouring their original pledge. Avoid!

Me n my friend went today and had a great experience with a staff member named Pearl! She was awesome. Showed us a lot of options and felt shs actually cared! 10/10

RUDE service. I went in to try on engagement rings I had seen advertised, the women let me try on one ring then left part way through our conversation to serve another client returning with some strange story about needing ID to try on any rings over 2,000! This made me uncomfortable like she thought I was a theift. I have worked in many different more "high-end"stores than MH and have never heard of this absurd request.

Very poor service. After waiting nearly a month for a new watch battery I rang. First they couldn’t find my watch or order. When they did find it there was a quote because apparently there was a fault. No one had bothered to call me to tell me about the fault or the quote. Unacceptable service. I won’t be shopping there again.

Teenage daughter went in here, came out traumatized! Asked to see some chains, had one almost immediately wrapped up and charged: when she said it was outside her budget, the woman told her to check her bank account and see how much she had, adding that if she loved someone she'd buy it! Sales Bully!

I love Micheal Hill but I can't go store cause they keep trying to sell me something and pressure so instead of feeling relax and shop i feel pressure and get out. Regardless I say I would like to browse, they keep showing me products that doesn't even match my liking.also until you pay they are very very nice BUT once you paid and you got a problem there is no way they will be same.shame.
