Brunch at Prefab three weeks ago was superb. The food, the coffee and the service were faultless.
We were ‘out of towners’ and still remembering our experience. We are sorry to hear of today’s news.

Been here a few times and is always a fav with great atmosphere and service. First time getting porridge which was avg because I didn't appreciate it came cold but other than that is great.

Four of us went last month for lunch my brothers birthday, we had a terrible experience.we had been so excited after hearing such glowing reviews from family and friends. All of the meals and coffee were so average it was either flavourless, burnt, or so spicy it was cancelling out any other flavours. The service was great. But we left so disappointed as the food and drinks were extremely average.
I decided to email prefab and let them know before writing a review (see below) and have not heard back. This has just confirmed all of the bad feelings we had about this place. Highly recommend not going here.

A brilliant spot with a lot going on.the service was prompt and friendly! Menu: short and sweet.coffee was splendid, as is to be expected.i especially loved seeing the owners work with their staff.all in all, very cool.

It has been a while since I have here. Great to see things haven't changed. Good coffee. Good food. Great buzzy atmosphere and an incredible speed with which coffee (particularly) and food is delivered

Very prompt and cheerful service, considering how busy it was. Very affordable food and drinks. Very clean and trendy atmosphere to dine in. Cool to see the bean roast machine in action. Will dine here again

The coffee was surprisingly overly bitter. The food was pretty good though. Had bacon and eggs. The bacon was amazing. The poached eggs were done really well too.

Service was excellent. We only waited about 5 mins for a table.

Could not fault breakfast at Prefab. From the very attentive staff, to the fresh, generous portions and rich flavours, to the friendly busy vibe, this is a spot well worth going to for breakfast or brunch.

Always great service, and the potato gratin, bacon & brat with poached eggs is one the best breakfast dishes available in Wellington. Can never be taken off the menu!

Open only for lunch and breakfast sadly. Although crowded and busy when I visited it did not take long to get a table and it was well worth the wait for delicious healthy food. Excellent service. Loaves of bread (including gluten free), granola and treats available to buy and take away. Acme salads a definite favourite.

Been meaning to go here for a long time. Was very busy and had to share a large table but that's a sign the place is excellent. Staff were totally onto it, food came quick and everything was a breeze. Portion size was small and expensive for the quantity you get but the flavours and presentation was fantastic. I even saw someone with a dog in there which is great to see! We need more dog friendly places in Aotearoa.

On a miserably wet day heading into Prefab was a little like heading into the sunshine. Good coffee, awesome food and service - in Wellington, head there!

When we visited it was buzzing and hectic, but the staff were calm and professional, and we were seated and served quickly. Food was excellent and we loved the vibe.

Very nice atmosphere and friendly service. Food was tasty and a good portion size. Unfortunately one of our orders was delayed because of a miscommunication between staff around a delivery.

Enjoyed a delicious grilled chicken sandwich for lunch here today. It was so good! And had a delicious coffee too. Thank you Prefab

Literally one of the best cafes I've ever been to. Great staff great waitresses and or waiters. Lit food and drinks easy service. Everything is amazing in this establishment

Had a ladies weekend away from Auckland. First stop a well deserved Coffee at Prefab and it was amazing. Breakfast was just as scrumptious, good spot and a very busy place. Even spotted an All Black.winning!

The staff are accommodating and quick to turn tables. Great team! Good on you Wellington.

We have spent a week in Wellington and of all the places we ate out this was by far the best. Fantastic service and food. They were very accommodating as we were in a hurry. In and out in 20!
