We have been using Ropata for the last 5 years or so. There was a time I had to wait for a long time to talk to a receptionist but it seems to have improved since they moved to the new location. We have been pretty happy with our GP, Matthew.

Rating based solely on bike parking:

Ropata Health has some bike racks directly outside the front door, awesome!

Except these style of “wheel bender” racks are poorly designed, and inadequate for secure locking (ie you can’t lock your frame to the rack). I would love to see some better racks here (eg the “Sheffield”/staple style)

Luckily there is a nearby play area with a sturdy fence for good bike locking.

Ps the medical staff were lovely.

This medical centre has really gone downhill which is quite sad. Some of the GPs are great, but the medical centre tends to book inaccurate appointments and cancel half an hour beforehand, provide inaccurate information about care and important medical dates, and blames the patient when things go wrong. We also had issues with the covid tests where the nurses were so rough that my 70 year old mother had to lie in bed for the rest of the day from the pain and my nose bled. Be careful about signing up with them. I'll be moving practices at this point as it's been one issue too many with no personal apology.

I originally didn’t have a great GP but I switched to Gillian Yardley and she’s the best GP I’ve ever seen. She always listens doesn’t shut you down and is open to any questions ideas etc she goes above and beyond for her patients it’s like having top private care. I wish all GP’s could be like Dr Yardley.

Used to be good until my latest experience.my mum had an nurse appointment, which I cancelled on the day requesting a receptionist

Getting an email next day with a charge of $40 for a missed appointment, like seriously. I called an explained that appointment was cancelled over the phone and they say they cannot trace my phone number to prove that I called them or not

We won’t lie for $40.if u want to make money like this than go ahead, karma definitely comes back.

Also our experience with one of the doctor named Yu is the worst so please definitely look into this as we have shared our feedback soon after the appointment and no response.please don’t play with your patient’s life

I have had the best care under Dr Sara Huse. Even though the wait times are long sometimes and appointments are hard to get at short notice. She is thorough and goes the extra mile. I have had the best experience and would recommend her very highly.

Never had an issue with Ropata until today. I called to double check my 6 month old daughters immunisation time for next week only to be told it was cancelled for an unknown reason and no one bothered to tell me. Very unimpressed

I am currently very disappointed with their scheduling of appointments. The first time l booked my appointment over the phone only to be told that l wasnt booked. The other time my appointment was canceled and the notification texted to me as l walked into their reception for the appointment. The medical centre is conveniently located for us, and we hope for better service next time.

The centre has become very money grubbing since moving, some of it pretty dodgy. It now costs $30 to email your Dr. My mum had an appointment, when she got out to pay they charged her for 2 sessions because it had gone over 15 minutes (by a couple of minutes). She's 80 years old! A.how can you even do that B.how is that even legal? (it's not). My mum doesn't want to cause a fuss and likes her Dr so she paid. Not happy at all.

Using the manage my health app, booking appointments is efficient & quick. Confirmation txt received soon after booking. Waiting areas are modern, relaxed, clean & orderly. All notes records etc are uploaded to the app soon after the appointment. Check in and check out is quick effortless.

The staff at Ropata Health are absolutely fantastic. I am so happy that we choose this medical centre to change our family too. I am so happy with the service and how they go above and beyond for there clients is out standing. Brooke the nurse is amazing, she's so good at her job. The pharmacy down stairs where also very helpful and took time out to talk to me about a product I was after, and gave such amazing advice.

Dr Ceyan Yu. The worst of the worst. DO NOT GO TO HIM. He is very unprofessional and DO NOT follow the NZ rule, he thinks he can do whatever he wants. He has prescribed medication without letting me know what they are for. And almost ruined my job and my family. He does not treat patient the right way. If you make him not happy, then wtach what he will do to you. His attitude is so rude, twisted the story and lied about the situation. I don't understand how can he even get his visa and qualification to work as a general practice in NZ.

Changed my appointment time that i had to wait a week for without leaving a voicemail or texting. When i arrive I'm told the next available date is another week from now. Wasted my work time and an uber. I'll be looking for another gp.

I always find your receptionists very friendly and helpful and I enjoy them being kind to me. Also my Dr Nikhilesh Todkari is very good with me. I always enjoy my time at Ropata Health. Diane Roberts.

I've always been treated well, spoken to politely, and had all and any issues resolved in a satisfactory manner. I've been able to phone, email or speak to someone anytime I've tried making contact, and always get a happy resolution. I find the reception staff friendly and polite.

A very safe and professional experience visiting Ropata Medical. Easily accessible hand sanitiser, helpful reception staff, good social distancing waiting to see the doctor. Prescription sent to the pharmacy before I walked downstairs. Helpful text reminders. 5 star performance.
