Lovely Staff, great food! Discovered a new favorite food.
Unfortunately I have quite an extreme spice intolerance but LOVE Indian food flavors, so normally I feel a little foolish ordering at Indian restaurants as I have to explain this intolerance when ordering, this was the 1st time I have explained this to the person taking my order and not felt judged, he completely understood.
I will happily recommend to anyone and eat there again.

What can I even say about this place. Absolutely top tier authentic Indian cuisine, atmosphere is fantastic, very clean and tidy, and the service from the Hospo King Sherry is unmatched. We visit every couple of weeks but would be there every night if we could! Friend of mine did the Heat Challenge and smoked it - not for the faint of heart but if you've got the resolve have a go and see if you can make it onto the famed Heat Wall.

Indian style Butter Chicken and chefs special Nawabi to die for! Garlic cheese Nann best I've ever had. Chicken wings and onion bhaji yum! Our families favorite go to eat out place. Highly recommend if I could give more stars I would. Sherry always has a smile on his face and best customer service.

Excellent lamb saagwala! The host/waiter was very friendly and the service was attentive without being overbearing. My son is very picky about butter chicken and rated it 9/10. Garlic Naan was perfectly cooked.

Excellent Chef special Nawabi chicken and dessert is yummy. Sherry is a good bloke and cares about his clients. Highly recommend the chef special dishes and getting to know him

Five stars are not enough for Ruchi! Superb food, with meticulous attention to details. Top quality ingredients, subtle flavours enhanced by an obvious love and pride in the preparation and presentation. Easily the best tandoori mushrooms we've ever had. The icing on the cake was the outstanding hospitality of the host. Food was very good. They were quick with the service. The level of spicy is kiwi spicy so next time we know it.
The only small note is that food was very oily and we tasted way more than 100 restaurants aroudn the world. Probably they fried everything.
Worth the price and all will be back

Ruchi has quickly become our favourite indian restaurant. The food is fantastic, with all the classics but also interesting unique dishes as well, indian-chinese, street food and apparently some secret menu options. Sherry and the team are fantastic hosts. We had a ~50 person booking recently and they took care of everything so well with a fixed price buffet. Everybody had a great time, stress-free, perfect. Impossible to overstate how warmly I feel for this restaurant

Had a fab mango chicken here last night, although it was not on the menu the chef was accommodating and made it for me, which was great!
Lovely garlic naans also!
Service was excellent & staff are friendly & personable.

Best Indian restaurant in the Wellington region. Food was full of flavour, you could clearly distinguish the flavours and Sherry is the most lovely and fun restaurant owner I’ve ever come across!

Our quest for good Indian food in NZ is over! After moving here from UK 4 years ago every indian food experience left us disappointed until we found this little gem!
This little restaurant catered both for my vegan desires and for my carnivorous husband appetite. Curries were super delicious (was extra funny to see my husband defeated by the super spicy vindaloo he requested hahaha) but if there’s one thing you simply must try is their naan breads. Hands down the best we’ve ever EVER had.
On top of all this the owner and the staff are super friendly, attentive and have great sense of humour. You can see this restaurant is run with love and passion for good food. No corners are cut. We will 100% be back again and you can count us in as your regular clients:)

A personable and charming host in Sherry Antony with a menu of each masala having its unique flavour. The butter chicken is a stand out with that important traditional ingredient that if you know, then you know! Do yourself a favour and have the goat curry, by far the best dish.

Highly recommended! Food is awesome, my fave so far is Samosa - best I ever had. Will keep on coming back!
