I donot believe they have equalled the previous service and food they have absolutely excelled
This Japanese food is the most delicious Japanese food in New Zealand.
No matter the meal the food offered excelled my expectations at every level. This shop nails japanese cuisine everytime.
The staff are amazingly friendly and I know will probably eat there more as the whole package of great food good prices and great service is unequalled in NZ I truely recommend for everyone wanting to experience genuine Japanese food call in on them in lower lambton quay.

It was absolutely amazing it was totally authentic.
I recently had a bad experience with a sushi chain in Auckland. But Sakura Sushi is the real deal.
The rice was cooked perfectly and all the ingredients prepared to perfection
The staff are helpful and friendly I have spent many years in Japan and have a japanese wife and she could not have prepared this meal better

Delicious food and great service. It was very crowded and not particularly comfortable seating but the food made up for it.

Delicious Katsu chicken donburi. The most friendly staff and who went above and beyond for their customers. They have 5$ sushi boxes at 3pm.

Excellent value. $10.50 for a very big chicken katsu meal. It was ready within a minute and very tasty.

I had a large chicken Katsu. It was MOSTLY chicken skin and the rice was burnt.

I understand all prices are increasing. I also understand that you may have opted for mantianing retail prices fixed to keep your customers and sales' levels.

But I feel it is WRONG to maintain the prices at the cost of such a massive quality drop.

I've been a customer for a while and believe you deserve a 4 star rating on average, but today's experience was remarkably awful.

Excellent ramen soup, with full flavor. However it could be hotter and it would be nice if they provided soup spoons to drink soup rather than teaspoons

Love this place for lunch, get there before 12 and avoid the queue! Great range of food for takeaway and eat-in, recommended.

UPDATE: Ubereats lunch today. It's becoming one of our favorite Sushi restaurant. Thank you for adding Avocado to Salmon Donburi.

Very good chicken katsu. Come there sometimes for lunch. Do not particularly like the rice as it tastes kinda sweet. Lots of to choose from. Very popular and fast paste place!
The staff is very kind.
They offer regular and large size on dishes. This place is always packed, and there is always aline hut somehow you never wait more than 5 minutes!

Really good sushi - super fresh - although I wish there was a bit more to choose from. That's probably due to me arriving around 1.30pm, after the lunch rush

The teriyaki salmon donburi here is terrible. It had a strong smell and taste of rancid fish. I strongly recommend that you avoid getting it if you come here. Their chicken katsu is very popular, I will try it next time and update my review accordingly.

I had a live snail in my chicken katsu lunch today. It is so disgusting. Do they wash and check the vegs before they serve?
