My wife and I were staying in the hotel so popped down to enjoy a pleasant meal here. My wife had the lamb while I enjoyed the beef. Both meals well cooked. Not very generous portions, so you may want extras.

Had breakfast. Menu is perfect, something for everyone. Food quality was awesome and the food was delivered very quickly. Will be back definitely and highly recommend!

Three lovely breakfasts here while Whitby's was closed over Covid lockdown. Nice menu and superb waiter Lance. We would be very happy to eat at Sojourn again.

Lovely waitress, great coffee, food appeared nicely presented, but Queens Birthday weekend seems to have caught them underprepared and they were a bit slow, some of our food a wee bit undercooked and staff became a little frazzled by the busy-ness. Perhaps worth another try, another time

Delicious meal and good service. The only disadvantage is have public walk way pass the open area of this restaurant
So, feel not much privacy and less dating atmosphere

Had an OK meal here. The fish (wahu) tasted old (my family owns a fishing business so I know fresh fish). Brought this to the attention of the waiter, who politely insisted the fish was in fact fresh despite me advising him it did not taste fresh or nice. No actions were taken to remedy this which is unfortunate and reflects their level of customer service. If you're looking for a nice curry, maybe order the fish because the curry is all that's edible in this dish and the staff won't offer you anything else.
Question: what is with Wellington hospitality and their bloody old fish. Taste the bloody thing when you're doing your prep.before the customer does!

Sojourn Restaurant- very good menu and service. Logan (waiter) very attentive and unobtrusive. We had 3 meals there and were most impressed each time. Highly recommended

Average hotel restaurant or more of a bar and cafe style. Located on the ground floor of the terrace, entrance from lambton quay through lift is also available. Ordering was relatively quick and easy, seeing speed is reasonably quick too. Meals are comparatively affordable in the area. Nothing particularly standing out about this place.

One of our waiters was surly. Food was good but desert very slow in coming out. Beware these guys have credit card surcharge. Not recommended.

Ambience was fine. Friendly waiter. Food was good. Servings not overly generous but as expected for a hotel restaurant. But was not happy with being asked for a 1.5% credit card surcharge - first time this has ever happened at a restaurant anywhere in NZ and I would avoid restaurants in future if I know a surcharge will be added.

Had dinner here a few times always had nice meals which have been well presented. Staff are always friendly and the cocktails from their bartender Andrew far exceeded my expectations.
