The Royal Thai Restaurant

We went for dinner. The menu itself was confusing and the food especially the chicken was under cooked. The food was just spicy and didn't have any flavour. They are operating another Buffet Restaurant 'Genghiskhan', that seems to be crowded so this does not seems to be an authentic Thai restaurant. Highly disappointed.

Worst Thai we have ever had sorry! Chicken Pad Thai… the noodles were undercooked and chewy to eat, and the dish was tainted in a weird/off flavour … Thai Beef Salad … The beef tasted aged and was entirely not a thai beef salad … wouldn’t eat here again

Not entirely what I expected, to be honest. It's connected to the kitchen of the Genghis Khan and that's really the main business. The food was quite acceptable, but I think I'd get better value next door at the buffet, more choices and variety for a similar price.

Just had a lovely dinner here. The servers were friendly and helpful. It was quiet for a Saturday night which was disconcerting at first, but actually made for a peaceful and intimate dinner.

Horrible staff and average food (not worth it). One of the worst restaurants in town, don't ever go here.

Unfortunately this was one of the worst Thai meals we have had anywhere. Apart from the curry puffs everything else was either cold half cooked or tough. It’s winter and you don’t preheat plates then of course things will come out cold. The crispy fish dish arrived cold and still frozen in the middle. The fish cakes were as tough as old boots you could not cut them. I felt sorry for the lovely waitress but quickly understood why we were the only ones in the restaurant.

What happend? Our last few orders have been different every time. Most recent was awful over cooked pad Thai that was one big clump and curry so salty I could feel my veins constricting.
Aroy quality at best.

The food was good, everyone in our group enjoyed their meals, but the service was rather random, with the meals arriving at the table at various times, which was a bit frustrating, we were the only parties there, so it should have been better.

Lovely food, particularly the red curry. Very elegant décor too. I don't know why it's not busier. It's kind of a hidden gem.

This was the worst curry I've ever had. All of the veges were frozen, we ordered green curry and got red, the sauce was gloopy and to add insult to injury, my partner found a 2cm long piece of metal swarf in her food. The service was appalling and when we finally had someone come to our table we were told that the metal was actually lemongrass. When I showed her that it was actually metal she said "that's not supposed to be in there", no apologies, no complimentary meal. Nothing. We'll never go back and hope that 'you' don't waste your money.

A LONG wait for anyone to welcome us as no one came to the desk. They were very quiet! Meal beautiful. Again a LONG wait for our bill. Disappointing as have been here several times.

I was here once, great service, food was good. Only one negative point: YOu get only a small rice ball and you have to order an extra one.

Went to this little gem last night. Service was outstanding and the food was also. One of the best Thai restaurants we have ever been to. Highly recommended.
