Wharewaka Function Centre reviews
56Great venue for the two day hui we were having. Superb food and super friendly staff made the days perfect.
Amazing kaimahi, wonderful space and run by the local iwi. Ticks all of my boxes. Thank you family.
Great place to have a wananga/event for mahi or symposium. The feel is warm and the design modern and beautifully Māori
The kai is mean, service is always lovely, and like Welly on a good day, the vibe and location just can’t be beat.
Love that te reo and tikanga are woven into the experience. Great location and staff were amazing.
Lovely setting, attentive staff, reasonable prices. Fried bread was not at all like the fried bread I remembered. Guess it's a sign of the times. Much prefer the old style, this was more like a Chinese style bun.
All other food was excellent.
Maybe I'm just getting a bit cranky in my old age.
Amazing location, atmosphere and food.
But please maintain the toilets better - they stink and are dirty
Great space.
Found it hard to find the entrance, although the cafe below was helpful
I was here for inked and impowered.it was a wonderful event.there were many things.i helped myself to a nice cup of cold water, I was sooo quenched
The location is fabulous, great atmosphere, lovely decor.
Unfortunately the food wasn't as fabulous, the fried bread is not traditional fried bread its just pre brought bakery bread dough fried. The chunky fries were undercooked as was the chicken.
The staff are amazing, great service, lovely coffee. I'd come back in for a coffee
Great Food and very nice and helpful stuff.
The Pacific Plate and Hangi was da bomb.
I love the food there and the staff are amazing to love the way they help the customers out to the best of what they know keep up the good work guys and girls can't wait to come back and some more kai
Delicious food. Decent price, but tables were dirty and staff were kind and friendly but were unsure at some point with some questions. Also staff left dirty dishes on the table during service and kept bringing other dishes and drinks but wouldn't take away the dirty dishes and empty bottles.
Great entertainment that night too
Tried the breakfast last week, today we had dinner. Amazing food again. Had the Pacific Plate. Fantastic flavours and now I like taro. Loved the rosebud cocktail. Very indulgent. Lovely friendly service.
Kia ora
I was at the 60th Māori Education Trust birthday celebrations last night.
What a menu and what a team. Thank you to your staff who looked after the event.
Delicious Kai with a maori twist. Friendly service and lovely staff who were all maori! Stunning. Highly recommend.
Dined at restaurant. Very accommodating and helpful waiter, quickly served before a show. Lovely meal.
We attended a memorial, it was very well managed, we felt comfortable and private, tucked away to celebrate our loved one. Food, drinks and serivce was great, I would highly reccomend the Wharewaka venue.
Manaaki Management, the functions team at Wharewaka, is fantastic to deal with. We had to chop and change event arrangements as COVID restrictions changed. They were so helpful and supportive. The event went off without a hitch. The staff are all amazing.
