The food on offer here is the best on offer in this area. Having been here before, we like the food and service along with the atmosphere. This is certainly a popular cafe / bakery. Would recommend this cafe to anyone who lives or passes through Carterton.

Beautiful coffee, beautiful food, beautiful staff. We will definitely be back. The fire going on a frosty morning just tops it off.

Finally had a weekend to get here - been looking forward to it for ages and framing about the creamy garlic mushrooms - arrived to discover it’s no longer being served. No great vegetarian alternatives. So disappointed.

We have been enjoying this place for years but were very disappointed today. Curdled coffee which was replaced by a more curdled coffee dry hard burger patty. We won’t be eating here again

Wonderful stopping point in Carterton with super delicious bakery treats. My custard square made it to Powell hut more or less in one piece!

I just happened to visit the cafe, Very unfriendly person at the front counter and not good service, If she is a staff she is a liability to the business. I would not support such local business in future. Very much disappointed would not recommend this cafe to anyone. I run a retail store in the same town and have more traffic flow at my store than wild oates and my friendly and a pleasant attitude is always the same to all customers no matter who they are. She made me feel that I don't belong there

Just stopped and checked in on two occasions to have hot chocolate, which was delicious. Had a ginger and pistachio slice. That was yum, too! They are popular so both times there was a queue. But the waiting time was not too long. Staff were friendly and efficient. Cafe was clean and tidy. A definite spot worth re-visiting! A lovely peaceful atmosphere!

Good food with a good selection, coffee was a bit mediocre and kept getting our order wrong. Was just a bit busy and the staff member making it seemed a bit flustered as happens when it's busy.

Lovely coffee but very disappointing there were no vegan options. Why would a cafe offer nondairy milk for coffee but no dairyfree food?
This cafe used to be a trendy up-with-it place. Come on, increasingly people are looking for cruelty free food.

This is a popular and reliably good cafe with an excellent selection of teas. The scones are good and there is always plenty of food variety

Food was ok. But staff member taking our lunch order was very rude and grumpy. We were shocked. Our lunch was brought out to us by a much happier and kind person.

Well presented cafe food but it would pay for the cook to taste what they send out - conflicting flavours

From the friendly service and outstanding coffee to the most amazing pies we bought home and had for dinner, this place is outstanding! I would return and recommend over and over! Great work!
