Cheese Naan had no cheese at all.
Butter Chichen was not nice. A couple pieces of chicken had gristle.
Butter Chicken is usually nice from here and the Cheese Naan is usually fluffy and cheesy. There was a different chef tonight. The inconsistencies are putting me off for good unfortunately.

Great food but couldn't get a child's main for an adult at night and couldn't have a sauv blanc as a bottle wasn't opened so had a reisling instead. Not to deter from the food, perhaps needs more patronage to help them out

Garlic naan doesn’t even taste like garlic and it’s really floury. Found it gross to be honest. Butter chicken was average. Thickness is good but taste was bland and for some reason had a strong peanut taste? Next to no chicken in it as well which is disappointing considering the price. Won’t be buying from here again, usual place was closed so thought I’d try somewhere different. Wish I could get my $70+ back as we haven’t even eaten it past a few bites due to its poor quality. Sad.

The food is delicious but the service is the slowest I've ever experienced. If you're thinking of getting this, allow at least an hour before you get their food. They have no idea how long it will take/no concept of time here.

Flavourless. Bland. Not even remotely as described or expected. More expensive than other FAR superior establishments.

Bengali Fish Medium - Slightly sweet, NO spice, ordered medium and it was less than mild. Like a water cracker, hold the cheese, kind of mild. So mild it would say sorry at the mere idea of inconveniencing you. Perhaps it is Canadian.

Lamb Nilgiri - Nilgiri is a GREEN MASALA curry, this was yellow like a korma and yet still utterly flavourless, like bleached flour. I don't think it had ever been so much as introduced to a mint or coriander leaf. I don't think there were mint or corriander leaves in the building when this curry was conceptualized.

Vege pakoda x6 - We got 2x wafer thin battered potato slices, 2x heavily battered flavourless cauliflour florets and a handful of passable onion baji. Not a single "deep fried mixed vegetable" fritter in sight.

The naan are large and buttery but if they have ever seen the inside of a real tandoor then I will eat the pile of leaves on my drivewayas penance.

Don't insult your tastebuds or your wallet, go somewhere else.

Excellent food very well priced. Have returned for a second visit. Fantastic food. Highly recommended

Really nice, don't know why people put low stars. Nice ambiance and spacious too. Loved kuruma and mango lassi. This is really under rated gem.

In the past I have dined in at Yatra and really enjoyed the food. However, I recently had a very bad experience with Take Away ordering online. When you order online from the Yatra website, you are actually using DineIn.co.nz to place your order. There is no indication this is the case until you receive the email. My partner and I ordered then selected the time we would pickup our order. We paid via cc and received a confirmation email. When we arrived at Yatra IT WAS CLOSED! That was very strange. We had to go elsewhere for our dinner. We sent an email asking for a refund, but no reply. Then a second email and no reply. A week later we stopped in to Yatra to ask about getting a refund. The manager was not interested! My expectation was they should have said, "I'll take care of this for you! ", but they didn't! This situation was not our fault, but theirs, yet it had become our problem. Instead they phoned Menulog (not sure why they did that, as we had placed our order via DINEIN via the Yatra website) and handed the phone to my partner. Thankfully the Menulog person was able to give a phone number to contact DINEIN. After a brief conversation with the DINEIN owner, we were assured of a refund. The refund came a week later. I'm not impressed at all by the service from Yatra, and we will not be going back. I am impressed by the response from the DINEIN owner, but not as impressed with DINEIN not responding to emails.

My friend is skeptical on spicy food, but he gave it a go, our first time there, I read the menu (he forgotten his glasses) first on the list "Butter chicken" that's it he said, (that saved time), I ordered vegetarian Palak Paneer both mild & two types of roti Garlic & plain. This dude is like a food creditor but he couldn't fault it.month later went back, again he forgotten his glasses so I read the 2nd on the list, Mango Chicken yep he couldn't fault it but he faulted the bread it wasn't the same taste, so he will go down the list on our next visit. We got up to pay I notice the chef was not wearing a mask but the counter lady was, I'll take note next time.

Food was ok but we have to wait 45 min for our meal because they were trying to sort out the Ubber eats while everyone else in the restaurant has to wait longer. Very pricey.

Absolutely delicious as always. Ordered the Chicken Dansak and Aloo Gobi. Heat and flavours spot on and onion baji yummy

I wish i can select 0 star. We did the Doordash. We ordered paneer tikka masala and naan. Totally waste of money. I can make at home better than this. Paneer tikka had literally raw tomato paste, which was not edible. I can make leather jacket from the naan. Why you guys putting someone’s life at risk. My family member literally felt sick after earring your food.

Tonight I had Yatra for the first time in ages and it was just as delicious as I remember it!

The paneer makani was hot, as I requested but not too hot that I couldn't enjoy it. It could have maybe been slightly more spicy but I can add chilli at home, I can't take it away!

The cheese naan was thinner than I'm used to but I actually found I like it thin. It is a better balance of bread to cheese when the naan is thinner.
It was perfect for dipping into my curry, which is the way I like to eat my Indian food.

My only complaint is that some of the curry was spilt into the bag, although not too much, luckily! I wonder if maybe a smaller bag could solve that? Not sure.

Anyway, thank you for a delicious meal. I'm glad the quality of the food hasn't changed over the years.

I ordered dal makhani through Doordash and it was sooo sweet and mild that I thought I am eating a sweet dish. I did mention I want it medium to hot curry.
I gave 2 stars for the roti, super soft and tasty compared to any restaurant.
Lamb and chicken starters were very mild too. If comments can please be looked at.
Chocolate Naan was basically normal Naan with chocolate ice cream on top.omg seriously? I thought it is chocolate filled Naan as what website says

Tried Yatra for the first time tonight. Needless to say things did not go well. I have transported 100’s of meals on this trusty stead without issue. However when the lid of your curry isn’t sealed properly the bag with get wet and fail on you. To their credit though they did replace my curry at no charge. The naan however was stone cold by the time I got to sit down and eat. The curry was decent enough though.

Great authentic food, good portion size. Amazing smell as soon as you enter the door. Highly recommend

Ordered Fish Masala with roti on my first visit.
The roti and the masala (semi grave) good in taste. But the main ingredient Fish meat itself was cold (not cooked/frozen) and tasteless.
Wouldn't recommend this dish if you are a fish lover.

What an amazing meal! Absolutely delicious onion bhaji followed by saffron chicken/Bengali Fish & naan. Ate far too much & stull got to take away our leftovers for lunch the next day. Highly recommend!

Nice food but bad service and LONG wait times. The older gentleman that sits in there all the time is off putting and snappy. Have dined in twice and won't be going back

Great place, setup and food. The chef is amazing. Non-veg dishes are more tastier than the veg there but veg is not bad too. The restaurant is very welcoming and totally recommend.
