Zampelles Queensgate

Had the Shepards pie and it was amazing, served by the most kind hearted young man. Super friendly staff place is very clean and tidy.

A little underwhelming & could've been more presentable. Nothing wrong with the food itself.

I have visited this Cafe often, over many years, when visiting the region. A variety of wonderful food is on offering; both hot and cold beverages and sweet and savoury food. It's usually always busy, especially around lunchtime. Because of a rise in cost of living, the prices have also risen.

Today I had my 1st visit to Zampelles in Queensgate Lower Hutt my husband insisted we should eat there S he has been a few times before.
This is the cleanest well organised eating place I have been to in Wellington I highly recommend this place just to have coffee too Excellent staff & serivice to.
We have a Zampelles in Johnsonville absolutely no comparison.

The food are very good and the waiters/waitress are very nice, keep going! From a French guy

Ordered the breakfast, was okay standard. My poached egg wasn't cooked to my liking. Overall was a 6/10 for me.
Atmosphere is good.
Coffee was good.

Great filtered coffee. I have a 10 cup card.nperfect. Plus top shelf steak and shroom piem

The service is 99% of the time great. Food is above average. The atmosphere is ok wouldn't recommend it

Good coffee and pies with real meat. The prices have rocketed in the last few years, but I suppose they have everywhere.

Staff were a bit cold and a little rude. Could have been an off moment or day, but the experience was not something to rave over.
Coffee was coffee, made quickly. Cheese toasty was simple and made fast too.
Speedy food and drink delivery, just slack on the service

This is our favorite place for Sunday brunch. Their chips are the best in town. We used to always come here for chips. Unfortunately today's one are really soft, not crispy at all and looked sad. When I told one of their lady staff, she was very kind and took the food back to ask if there's anything they could do. Then the chef came out and very kindly explained the situation that their supplier somehow couldn't supply the nice chips. Which I totally understand as I work in a food place where this kinda situation happens all the time.
They offered us refund. I'll say it's a really nice experience seeing how they handle this situation really well with very nice attitude.
Hopefully you guys can have the nice chips back and we'll definitely come back every Sunday for the best chips ever. ️

The staff really need to work on their customer service. I was served by a really rude and abrupt waiter this morning. I will never dine at your Cafe again nor reccomend it too anybody else.

Amazing service, food and vibes! This cafe is an absolute 10/10. Went here to meet up with some friends and was amazed! I had the avo on toast and the ingredients were so fresh, beautiful soft bread, zesty haloumi and the best avo smash i’ve ever had. The coffee was exceptional and the service impeccable. The friendly staff and fast service here really make this cafe worth a visit! (also would recommend grabbing a few treats from their cabinet on your way out!)

I'll be honest, my expectations weren't high, but boy was I wrong. My eggs bennie was just fantastic, and the photo doesn't do it justice. The muffins were well-toasted and had a crunch, the bacon was crisp in places, soft in others and had a perfect balance between taste and texture. Both eggs were PERFECTLY poached (and we all know that's never easy), and everything covered in just enough hollandaise. And the best thing? Every component of the dish was piping hot! It hadn't sat on the pass for 10mins waiting for a too-busy waitress to finish clearing tables, like you get all the time in a busy cafe. Kudos to the cook.

Hate to give a local business a bad review but I used to love this place. Would always go there for a nice afternoon coffee and butterfly cupcake. But now it’s really expensive, the layout around the counter sucks, food quality is not good anymore, takes ages to get your order and staff do not look happy at all. I ordered a bacon and egg panini and a small mocha. Panini was over peppered, stale, tough I couldn’t cut it the bacon was one small cheap cut half piece. Took ages to get my food then I got a hot choc not a mocha. A lady came in a wheelchair and had a really hard time paying for her order and turning around.

Went to Zampelles and ordered a vegetarian Panini. The panini only had heaps of pumpkin and kumara there were no other veggies. It was sooo sweet that I could not order a dessert. Definitely would not recommend

The staff and service here is really lovely. I came in for brunch and ordered the mince on toast and a green smoothie. The green smoothie was delicious and a great size but the mince on toast was a bit of a let down as it tasted like they had taken the same filling from a meat pie and put it on some toast. I recommend they consider adjusting the recipe a bit. Their cabinet food also looked very tasty and it's a nice place to go after shopping at the mall.

Overall a nice eatery, some items on the Menu slightly overpriced compared to other places. Nice to see something open early in Lower Hutt, as we saw nothing before 8am in Wellington

Food is ludicrously overpriced and the service was shockingly bad. Started serving another customer without any sort of farewell. Didn’t hand me my food or say thanks nothing. Couldn’t think of any reason to eat here.

Sadly won't be returning. I ordered a soy cappuccino, my partner an iced chocolate. Iced chocolate was good, but I was concerned to find my coffee made with regular cows milk and not soy as I has asked (and paid for). Thankfully I am not super allergic but was extremely uncomfortable for the rest of the day. Staff member tending to the cash register was also extremely short with us & seemed like she'd rather be anywhere else.
